This kinda feels like a bad omen. The bullpen has been looking so worn down
I really hope I’m wrong
After watching them play today, I think last night really might have been an instance where you have a mental letdown toward the end 8 games in a 123 hour span.
It’s nice to get last night’s taste out of the mouth quickly
Now let’s go Brewers and let’s go sweep the Pirates (don’t like seeing Mikolas and Waino on the road…)
Would be pretty cool to see Cabrera pitch well in some low pressure situations and parlay that into some confidence that trickles down to Triple A next year
We can dream can’t we
I was wrong on Edman. I never disliked him but didn’t see him as a regular. That’s why I’m not making the decisions!
I haven’t been so frustrated by a game in a while. It’s not the loss but just the way it happened. That’s what happens sometimes with a stretch of so many games in a row
Some uncharacteristic play from the team tonight. It’s been frustrating to say the least
WOW
Agreed mud. Great plays and the team is playing great baseball. Offense and defense picking up pitching when necessary and pitching picking up offense when necessary. That’s how you win baseball games consistently
To shed some light on the positive, it is great to see Wong run with his opportunity. He has an outside chance of 6 WAR (BR)
Wong just appears to be the kind of player who plays great defense (obviously) but has very high peaks and very low valleys with the bat. Interesting to see it even out over the course of a season though
Kolten is also the kind of player who could ride the confidence of a great full season into something much more the next year. Very happy for Kolten
It is disappointing with Goldschmidt. I haven’t looked into his home away splits too much from the past but the NL West has a lot of hitters parks, and Arizona has always seemed to be one of them
Hopefully this season is an outlier though. We didnt have a lot of faith for Dex to turn it around either, but his OPS this year is right in line with his career average
Let’s keep this good play going and win the central!

August 31, 2019 at 9:13 pm in reply to: StL 2019 Games 60/135 thread: Sat 8/31 vs. Reds (DH) #104613I love seeing carp and yadi helping the team during this push!
You can’t take 3-0 against Carlos. It’s like he needs to see one go in the strike zone then he’s fine sometimes
It seems like gallegos’ only earned runs this year are when schildt doesn’t let him finish his inning with a runner on
Don’t stat check that Brian
That’s always such a pet peeve of mine. Why keep your best reliever in to start another inning and then give him such a short leash? I always hate that move
Yeah I love wainwright and glad we’re winning a lot of his starts lately but I don’t know if I can watch this for another year
This is fun to watch
Yeah last year it was the same highlights from old mlb games over and over. Which was a little better
That giants lead didn’t last long
Yeah I’m one of the biggest carp fans and I’ve lost all faith that he can turn it around this season. Time to stop playing him
Well we need some offense tonight
OPS is still only 40 points behind Edman, which is why I just don’t get why Edman is tabbed a regular
Am I a pessimistic fan or does it just feel like the odds are stacked against this team to score even with the bases loaded and no one out?
I thought they kept Gant in one batter too long. Didn’t know if they should pull Helsley when they did either. But I’m also saying these things after everythingg played out…
Schildt is matheny with a bullpen that performs
Why is dexter Fowler playing!?!?
