Listening to the Brewers announcers and they just said they had one other rain delay in 2012. They said tonight was a popup shower that did not show on radar.

Wong just got a pinch hit double and Bader flies home from 1B. Bader had gotten a 2-out single. Score is 4-1.

Wonder if Wong can come in for defense and move Edman to 3B?

Giovanny is his usual self in the 7th. Going to the 8th up 4-1.

Great games for Mikes and Yadi! Just need to close it out here.

The Cubs won over the Mets so the Cards need to close this one out to maintain the 3 game lead.

Brewers get a hit to lead off the 8th. Miller relieving Gallegos. I guess we’ll have Miller and CMart to finish it off. Take a couple of nice cleansing breaths.

Cleansing breaths didn’t work. Miller gives up a 2-run blast to Grandal. Yelich now the tying run with one out in the 8th.

That’s always such a pet peeve of mine. Why keep your best reliever in to start another inning and then give him such a short leash? I always hate that move

Not one of Miller’s better outings.

Now Miller walks Yelich. I agree GACard, there was no need to bring in Miller at that point, Gallegos hadn’t thrown many pitches. Now Shildt has a mess on his hands. Hope we see good CMart tonight or this might go the wrong way.

I had a bad feeling about this game once the Cards took the lead. Miller was not good tonight. Gallegos crushes lefties so why not leave him in there?

Also, here’s a fun stat…OPS allowed vs LHB this year:

    Miller: .708
    Webb: .492
    Gallegos: .450

Carlos with the huge DP ball there to maintain the lead. Man I hope we get good Carlos in the 9th.

It seems like gallegos’ only earned runs this year are when schildt doesn’t let him finish his inning with a runner on

    Don’t stat check that Brian

CMart comes in with his usual flair and goes 3-0 to Hiura, so you know he’s going to put the winning run on base with a free pass. Wait, check that, he gets Hiura for an inning-ending DP. Whew.

You can’t take 3-0 against Carlos. It’s like he needs to see one go in the strike zone then he’s fine sometimes

stlard25, how about emailing that info to Mo/Shildt?
