Now available, The Cardinal Nation Prospect Guide is back for its ninth year. The 2026 Guide features 275 pages of in-depth commentary about the very best St. Louis Cardinals minor leaguers, including five dozen all-new player scouting reports.
The Guide can be purchased in two formats – the PDF version (offered at half-price for all TCN subscribers) and the very popular printed spiral bound book, which often sells out.
The Cardinal Nation has published rankings of the top prospects across the St. Louis Cardinals system for over 20 years – since 2006. Here in 2026, we have compiled all these brand-new reports and much more information not available elsewhere into The Cardinal Nation 2026 Prospect Guide.
The core of the Guide remains in-depth profiles on all players on our new Top 50 Prospect List. Individual profiles include photos, very detailed scouting reports, probable 2026 team assignment, Rule 5 status, estimated MLB arrival, ultimate potential and more.

TCN owner Brian Walton and scouting analyst Kyle Reis each extend their analysis to a dozen other players who just missed the Top 50 and their deep sleeper prospect for 2026.
These prospect reports are fresh, compiled from information gathered while watching the players in action and on video as well as from conversations with their coaches, Cardinals’ player development staff, scouts from outside of the organization and the players themselves.
Additional views of the 2026 Top 50 provided include depth by position and prospect proximity to St. Louis.
The Guide opens with a look back at last year’s prospect list, MLB debuts, team results, stats leaders and award winners from 2025. It concludes with an extensive Cardinals history section, including in-depth breakdown and analysis of each First-Year Player Draft back to 2013 and top international signings since 2004, including bonuses and spending against pool amounts. Also included are Rule 5 Draft results back to 2002 and our top prospect lists from 2007 forward.

If you want to go deeper on the Cardinals’ minor league system and learn about the next waves of prospects to reach St. Louis, the 2026 Prospect Guide is a must-have. Much of this information is available nowhere else and certainly not in one easy-to-access source.
Get your copy of the Guide and take it with you to spring training and to the Cardinals minor league ballparks all summer for insight on all the hottest prospects!
