I wonder how long it will be before the Cards couldn’t make up the games no matter how badly they would want to, that there just wasn’t enough time left to play that many games…many other teams will soon be a third of the way through the season…
I almost wonder if some of these guys are taken so that a year or so from now they could be included in a trade like with Burleson, if the NL doesn’t get the DH then perhaps he could be traded over to the AL for somebody later on down the line…no that wouldn’t be the only reason that we drafted him but just a possibility later on…
Always liked that song, plus the shorter one that was on the vhs copy of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that starts off…Off in the distance, the game’s dragging on, two strike’s on the batter some runners are on—that ends with that’s why I play right field, off where the dandelion’s grow…come to think of it the shorter one might just be a jingle for a commercial or something but it’s still about baseball and a fun little musical number and video that goes along with it…
Could though Arenado being upset by all of this end up in our favor if we still want to trade for him in that he could force them to take an offer that the Rockies might not otherwise have taken, an offer that wasn’t as high as the one that they were asking for…
I just hope that whichever way it goes that it doesn’t get drawn out and take weeks to be resolved, though the opt out thing in his contract has me worried about even trading for him, now if that could be done away with…
By the start of the next season we will probably be reportedly interested in every available player in the entire MLB…wouldn’t mind Arenado as long as we didn’t have to give up to much or pay to much…
Mo will call him our big move and he’ll probably end up like Cecil sadly…or Fowler…or…well there’s to many to count at this point…
I think that it’s to early to view Goldschmidt as not living up to their potential, in a lot of guys signing with new teams the first year or so they underperform before they find their footing and are back to their normal output so I’m not ready to view his signing as being in the same category as Fowler or Carpenter just yet…
The odd thing is that we’re only down by 2 so it’s not a HUGE lead…then again with how this game has gone 2 might as well be 20…
I just don’t want us to use up all of our runs in this round when we’ll need them going forward…and hush Rats, don’t jinx it…
Well I’ve been a Cards fan since back before they won their last two titles, since the HR chase with Sosa and McGwire…so I hope you’re right about the win…
Here’s hoping that the Cards gift me with a win today for my 40th B-Day…and my oldest nephew’s 28th…
