Bottom of the 4th now and we’re up 7 to 1…
Now we’re in the 4th and up 13-3…I’m not making that up, Martinez with a grand slam and Voit with a 2 run ground rule double to do the bulk of the scoring…
And with Garcia’s hit somehow we’re actually leading this game…
DeJong hits a 2 run HR so we’re ahead…for now…
The problem with the records remaining close is that it will only serve to reinforce the front office’s idea that they have the right guys on the team and make them that much more unwilling to sign any free agent of any real value or trade anybody…
We have 3 culprits, one is the terrible bullpen, two is the D and baserunning mistakes, 3rd is that we don’t have any power or any real power threat at all anywhere in the lineup, most of the members of this team would fit in well as the 3rd option of a team, but not the 1st or second as they’re being asked to do…
Yeah the old we once had a 4 run lead and now we’re only up by 1 after they hit a 2 run HR…
Or you could say that good business people would have made some trades and tried to make the team more profitable…
Maybe they just don’t want him to overdo it…
Second inning and we’re already down 3-0…glad we didn’t make any trades…note sarcasm…
I wonder how long it’ll be before the front office says something to the effect of getting Piscotty back is like a trade…and again if we don’t go on a tear I wonder how far we have to fall before the front office actually does something to make the team better…so far the last three big contracts that they’ve given out to Wong, Cecil, and Piscotty have fallen flat and Fowler unless he ups his D and stays healthy would be added to that list…
Matheny and Mo are both the problem, Matheny isn’t coaching them well enough and Mo isn’t giving him good enough players, if/when we don’t make the playoffs this year both should be gone…
And yet that’s been our way of doing things over the past few years, I wonder what would happen if Piscotty and Fowler were out for a good chunk of time if that would force the front office to actually do something…
And what happens then if/when we’re like 10 or more games behind the division leader and we don’t turn the season around, if/when we don’t make the playoffs with Matheny and others be gone or just go on with business as usual…
We’ll probably get some little good for nothing trade after the deadline for a guy that gets released before the end of the year and then they’ll say that Wainwright and Piscotty coming back from injuries are like a trade…guess the front office really is pathetic…
If we just trade for this guy it’s equivalent to the front office throwing in the towel for this season and possibly next season as well…
Martinez hits a 2 run HR and we’re now tied in the 4th…
4 walks in a game isn’t good let alone a single inning…
It doesn’t help when you walk in a run…we’re already down 2-0 in the second…
Well looks like Lynn won’t be traded before the deadline since if he was then he wouldn’t be pitching today…
And we end up losing 7-1…hopefully this makes the front office actually do something…
Then Leake gives up two back to back home runs to make it 3-1 Arizona in the top of the 4th…
I wouldn’t be against trading any or all three of them including Piscotty, if the front office waits till the end of the year it’s because they refuse to admit that their plan failed, their plan to build from within, they put their money on the players that we have and so far it hasn’t worked so they’d then be giving them every possible chance to prove them right…
I’m just not sure who we would want from the Indians…as for Fowler I’m not ready to give up on him just yet, now if next year is like this one then maybe see who he would be willing to be traded to…
I’m not sure which would be better for us, to trade Lynn first or wait for Gray or one of the other big names to be traded and then wait for the other teams to call us as they start to panic/get desperate…
As long as he comes back from surgery well…
