I fear that we’ll get to the point where no sports team can be named after an animal or person or group of people, so no Chicago Cubs or Bears, no Cardinals, Seahawks, Cowboys, 49’ers and so on…then there’s always the old Washington Bullets that changed to the Wizards because Bullets was to violent of a name to some, wonder how long it’ll be before they try to get a new national anthem because the one we have now is so violent to some…
Sadly there’s probably a large pool of bad/old free agents that they intend to pick from to fill that spot…hope I’m wrong but…
Maybe he’s there to fill some roster space so that later on they can release him and say that they did something without actually losing any of the players that they actually care about, or he’s just cannon fodder for some trade somewhere down the line…or something…
The problem Nyquis is will we be able to actually get anything of value for him in a trade or whatever…
All of that after saying why make any trades when getting injured guys back is like making a trade, or something along those lines…
Does this mean that we’re going to make a trade or just freeing up space for someone already here, or the new guy…
Mo and Girsch kept playing older players that were playing terribly come hell or high water, keeping them from finding out what we had in our AAA players, then when we needed a new player they’d trade prospects to get a similar old player that they’d push above all else, and now those older players are playing terribly still and we suddenly don’t have much to trade and our AAA and minors are really hurting as a result…
It also sounds like either the manager of the FO is pushing the aged vets like Carpenter and such that are not performing over giving the younger guys a chance…sadly…that’s part of the problem and I doubt that will change anytime soon…
So then Mo’s idea as to how to fix things is do what we’ve always done over and over again and wonder why it doesn’t work…
So then bling I wonder if some pitchers who needed to go on the injured list could use that to their advantage, get suspended for 10 games and give them time to heal and such…
I wasn’t mad about it or anything so sorry if I came across that way, I was just scared that I may have messed something up or that something was wrong with the site…glad that things are fine…
Don’t know if this anything but today I tried to login with my login information, site asked me to prove that I was a human and when I did it took me to the dashboard for the site…then I closed out and came back in and got the regular site…
I feel old given that said nephew already has a three year old daughter and an almost 9 month old son, so I’m already an uncle and a great uncle…my dad would have been 71 in August had pancreatic cancer not done him in back in 2014…
An early birthday present of sorts for me then I guess, as I turn 42 tomorrow on the 31st, and my oldest nephew turns 30…
I don’t think that they’d even begin to think of trading Gorman until they’d know if Arenado is sticking around, and even then they could bring Gorman up and have him spell all three infield base positions as he learns and such…
While i am glad that Fowler is gone I don’t believe in the expectant outfield for a second, not saying that they can’t grow into the roles but so far they haven’t proven it and it will be a team weakness sadly, unless we make more moves…
Probably to get the fans talking about or getting angry at the Cards rather than the Cubs front office, or at least an attempt to…
I wonder if the stadium crew would ever start to pack the cardboard fans away bicyclemike, as if they were leaving the game…just for fun…
Almost makes me wonder what traveling music the team would have with everybody taking rental cars for a road trip…
