Nice hitting there by Wong and Edman to make it a 9-0 lead. Sims is knocked out of the game.

Just turned the game on. One question: Where has this offense come from? The club has gone from struggling to score to an onslaught the last three games!

So when do we start subbing O’Neill, etc to gets some playing time?

You keep the same lineup as long as they keep scoring runs. Good mix.

Dejong flashing the leather as he steals a base hit from a Red to start the 4th.

    I don’t, I let Carlson and O’Neill get PA’s with a STL 98.5 WE.

    Hey Mudville…..glad to see you!

I know its still relatively early, but in a situation like this, your skipper has to show a little compassion (especially in this day and age) and call off the dogs. There is only but one exception to purposely run up the score on another club when the big “W” is 99.99% in the bag….and that is of course when you’re throttling the cubbies. This lopsided lambasting of the home team is now bordering being cruel and abusive. So please please skipper….call off the dogs!

I think the idea is that in a blowout game would be a good time to give the regulars some rest and get the youngsters some at bats and time in the field.

Kolten Wong having himself a game! 4-4

They are wearing out the Reds pitching. Thus is good to see.

Who’d have thought that Pugs would have undersold this juggernaut of an offense tonight? Miller drives in his 5th run and it’s the Cards by a touchdown and a field goal.

Yadi with the single makes it 11-0 Cards. This will help out the ol’ team OPS+ tonight.

Since we rarely get to say this, please save hits for tomorrow.

I’m thinking that Edman is Shildt’s version of Craig Paquette

Except Edman hits better, so far

We need to resign Miller, and plug him in as DH most days.

O’Neill is in for Fowler. Good to see him get some PT. Thomas shoots one to the wall in RF for a double. Carp is the only starter without a hit in the lineup tonight.

Notice the difference in approach between Thomas and O’Neill?

Wong gets hit on the foot. 5 times on base, just like Goldy. Speaking of Goldy, he now has the bases juiced. How about a granny for a nightcap?

Edit: whoops…guess it’s Knizner instead. Feels like the first time in a month.

Knizner with some good wood on it, and smokes it up the middle for 2 RBIs and a 13-0 lead.

I wonder if the stadium crew would ever start to pack the cardboard fans away bicyclemike, as if they were leaving the game…just for fun…
