Yes I watched it and Jager is correct. How depressing. Imagine watching this team hit like this all year and voice no REAL concern major changes are needed. An outfield that has no punch besides Ozuna and IMO he is gone as well.
Mo will retire for his offseason NAP as will I as the average to poor baseball the great Cards fans have seen over the last four years seems to be the new NORM to management. If they prove me wrong I pray they do so.
Been a Cards diehard since 66. Not enjoyed this team at all this year due to one of the very worse hitting team I have ever watched. Look at the averages and tell me you really want any of these guys back with the exception of Edmons and Goldy because of his silly contract?
How do you even start to sell that next year? Sadly Mo will and his tweet talk all that will be done.
Get ready for several years of bad baseball. This performance versus the Nats is beyond description and will not go away anytime soon.
Texas Card ……..well said and sadly honest about the organization. Get ready for annual Mo tweak.
Can anyone remember a more pitiful effort through three games of League Championship baseball? If Mo sits on his ass this offseason and does not shake this 40 man roster Lord please fire him.
Embarrassing does not even start to describe this team’s hitting. Blow it up at years end .
Not a single hit at home. Pathetic and embarrassing but seen this all year long.
Rats….great post on these pretenders as hitters. This is my last post of the season. I cannot watch another game with this lineup. It’s sickening. The sight of C Martinez and his antics is pathetic.
I have said numerous times break this team big time and how they won a division with this lineup is freakish.
Now the real bad news Mo will not do anything but tweak this mess so we have little to look forward too. Makes me want to hurl.
Watching DeJong and Bader whiff at the breaking pitches was just plain embarrassing.
Over and over again this act from the no hit Cards when this guy pitches. Infuriating.
Happy for the W. Hope somehow we give Jack some run support.
Poor start. Three week grounders by the hitters. I fear we see that all game.
This team has won their last game of the year. Book it.
Slip sliding away………… what a cluster of a bullpen.
Jack gives us another gem and the popcorn hitting Cards offer no support for him yet again. This is why I have little faith in this team going anywhere as they just cannot hit. How they are winning this division with these batting averages is in itself amazing.
Mo will do nothing in the offseason to fix this issue as he is happy with this years results.
Proud of this team for nailing the hated Cubs. Keep it up guys. Brewers won’t fold.
Happy for my home guy Carpenter in spite of an awful year. Man did he pound that pitch. We need to keep winning as the Brewers will not go away.
Wish the Cards could hit.
Bad losses like these just further point out the feeble lineup which rears its ugly head way to often.
Happy for Jack that the pen didn’t blow his great game. As usual bats dead.
Lets tweak the roster and make it five years in a row with NO playoffs. Start with MO and start the process.
Glad I missed the debacle last night. I am telling you….total overhaul or years coming of bad baseball.
I met Matt and his great Dad while they played in HS baseball here in Houston. Always was a huge fan but as we sit here 8/5 he is just a part of a group of players in a lineup that cannot hit. I will say it again a total overhaul is needed starting with MO and then the real work starts with a makeover of a team that has not see the playoffs in at seasons end four years. That is not acceptable in St. Louis. This organization is real close to apathy that leads to years of bad baseball. The great fans of this team deserves better.
4 freaking hits. Mo adds no bat and get used to it as it will be seen the rest of the year. Sickening.
Always a great day when the Cubs lose. Great job on the mound for us tonight.
