Nice to see they still have Sproat pitching against us. He has some upside but has been horrible so far

Well I’d better get to work on tonight’s din-din of shrimp, mayonnaise and chopped onions on a bed of tagliatelle if I am to have everything ready, consumed and dishes washed by first pitch. Beverage will be sugarless iced tea. Dessert will be slices of lemon cake from our local patisserie.

Rah Cardinals! Two games is still as sweep.

Prieto was in the lineup yesterday and not today.

When Nootbar comes back do we figure Scott to Memphis?

Not a good start at all. Pallante is leaving everything up so instead of low in the zone it’s landing right down the middle.

30 pitches and 4 runs later, he gets out of the first inning.

We have unfortunately seen this Pallante before. Hopefully he can get it together and cover a few more innings before the bullpen arms start coming in.
Down 4-0 after the top of 1.

This start does not aid my digestion.

Sheesh – I’ve never been a big fan of Pallante although he does toss a good game from time to time, but he just is not consistent. Still someone has to be in the back of the rotation. I just wish we had a guy who was a little better and Andre could be used as a middle inning guy.

Just got to watch a bit. Saw sproat walk 2 batters, rediculous. Esp walking gorman being ahead 2 strikes. Good for us but just stupid. And kept throwing offspeed pitches. Thats why he will never realkly be a good pitcher. 4-0 lead, you have to br aggressive.

Today’s story is the bats are dead as a doornail. One hit through 7 innings. Yikes.

Looks like Church HBP and left the game an inning later. Any word?

I had to leave after the 5th inning to help a neighbor with a problem. Looks like it was just as well…

Bats today remind of 24 & 25 offense. I always worry the OLD Pallante is back every time I see him listed as starter.
Need a bounce back game tomorrow.

Looks like Pallante spotted the Brewers 4 runs out of the gate. His Redbird teammates didn’t do him any favors with 27 outs to pick him up and make it a game. The Cardinal bats just didn’t show up this afternoon. They won’t land in the bargain aisle when they step off the jet in California to play 4 games against a pretty good SD baseball team.

A clunker today but good that Pallante settled in and got 6 innings.

I am bundled up and headed to downtown Denver to work a chilly Rockies-Mets contest. Work tomorrow as well but it is supposed to be near 70 degrees. Springtime in the Rockies.

Working night games means no din-din, but they say an occasional fast is healthy. Will have my usual night game late night bowl of Raisin Bran around 11:30-midnight. Now that will never get din-din-of-the-day! 🤣

Mike, I often have cereal for din din. A big bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with slices of banana and slice of buttered wheat toast is not bad at all!

Not at all, gscottar! That is basically what I have for breakfast – a couple bowls of whole grain cereal with bananas and berries, almond milk, and coffee. Then when I have cereal at night I switch to Raisin Bran. Or sometimes a bowl of hot cereal, which I might just do tonight if I am chilled from being outside for about 5 hours.
