jj-cf-stlParticipantAs long as its not the hitting guru Goldy used last winter.
August 20, 2024 at 5:41 pm #264966I wonder if Tony Rasmus is looking for a side hustle this winter. 🙂
Even if the baseball is a little depressing, Bling never fails to entertain!
August 20, 2024 at 6:49 pm #264972Yeah, that is a great line Bling put out.
August 21, 2024 at 5:04 am #265037If Girsch is in charge of the analytics, he needs to go. It seems pretty apparent that the Cardinals either stink at it or they need to fire whoever is ignoring those analytics. Player development is also at a low. There is talent in the system but they aren’t performing.
August 21, 2024 at 7:48 am #265046There is literally nothing this organization does well. They stink at everything.
August 21, 2024 at 7:51 am #265047Houston has completely overcome their terrible start. It can happen if you have a good organization.
August 21, 2024 at 10:04 am #265065Imagine the horror of this FO staying another year once this miserable season ends?
August 22, 2024 at 7:41 pm #265224I hate to say it, but I would be shocked if Ownership releases Mo before his contract is completed. As such, I fully expect Oli to be back as well. They just hate to eat contracts.
Not saying it is the right thing to do. It has just been the way they have historically operated.
August 25, 2024 at 7:30 am #265428After Saturday’s action we are now 6 games out of the WC, and now the Cubs have passed us, so we have to now catch and pass 4 teams to get the 3rd WC slot. We are playing .500 ball but are getting further behind.
August 25, 2024 at 12:46 pm #265450As I mentioned a few days ago the Cubs have the easiest remaining schedule on the planet by loading up against a bunch of last place teams. They will zoom past us in the standings as we get smaller in the rear view mirror.

I agree, but “asking” him to retire a year early would yield the same end result.

ParticipantThere’s a plentiful supply of lofty titles they can confer on him (along with his salary) to dress up an early transition.
