FanDuel // KMOXJune 14, 2025 at 6:16 pm #284856Will be interesting to see how many hit-by-pitches and possible ejections happen in this game after the Contreras incidents today.
June 15, 2025 at 12:24 am #284861I would have expected an interesting afternoon twenty or thirty years ago, but they no longer allow the boys to conduct business among themselves like was once customary. I could certainly be wrong, but I don’t expect any spillover to result in anything that could be termed a genuine hardball sort of dustup amongst the kiddos. Now that I’ve said that, they may need to seek help from the Wisconsin National Guard to restore order on the field…Haha!

June 15, 2025 at 12:33 pm #284872Pugs in the park as we speak. The positive vibes from TD is going to bring us home the split.
June 15, 2025 at 12:49 pm #284874Pugs?
If Front Row Amy is there today you know what to do!June 15, 2025 at 12:55 pm #284875I like that top of the lineup and am eager to see how it pans out. The Gorman-Walker lump leaves me cold. Let’s hope the top end prevails.
Rah Cardinals! And eat a dog for me Pugs.June 15, 2025 at 1:14 pm #284877I’d have to say that Father’s Day is the genuine official/unofficial special occasion day for the game of baseball so, Happy Father’s Day to all of my fellow dads!
June 15, 2025 at 3:20 pm #284879Was a good Fathers Day. Took my Dad to a local BBQ place for the Sunday Brunch Buffet and found out that Fathers got to eat for free today.
Looks like the Cards are going to lose a close one. Down 3-2 in bottom of the 8th. Hoping for several runs in the ninth.June 15, 2025 at 3:39 pm #284880
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe blinders send Walkers K% up there.
June 15, 2025 at 3:43 pm #284881
jj-cf-stlParticipantTwo singles by the Nolans followed by K, K, K.
June 15, 2025 at 4:05 pm #2848823-2 Milwaukee your final.
Once again only two runs in a hitters park. Sound familiar?
And once again those last three batters all they wanted to do was slug, slug, slug. It would have helped if somebody would have just tried to make contact instead of trying to slug it out there.
June 15, 2025 at 4:23 pm #284883Ah well, all is great in Cardinal land. Just wait ’till next year!
June 15, 2025 at 5:23 pm #284886Looks like we’ve started a new streak!
June 15, 2025 at 8:01 pm #284896Looks like Ivan the Great had a great game again. I’m guessing he did quite well behind the plate as well with Mikolas pitching a good game.
Gorman with another good game as well.

jj-cf-stlParticipantAs long as the blinders keep running Walkers .587 ops out to RF, Gorman is a bench bat. It took a DFA of Oli’s project (Vilade), a bad big toe of Donny and a fall off the cliff by Noot to get Gorman any playing time.
He has taken advantage of the opportunity, leading the club in ops the last month, but he has his seat cushion already inflated.
2025, thru June 15th by ops+:
158 Herrera, 131 Donny
114 Burly, 110 Contreras, 102 Gorman, 100 Pozo
98 Winn, 94 Noot, 93 Arenado
82 Scott, 71 Pages, 65 Walker, 58 Siani
June 16, 2025 at 8:32 am #284908Season to date results can be a bit misleading regarding who deserves playing time right now, IMO.
Gorman should play as should Walker, who had been starting to hit better just before he was injured. On the other hand, Nootbaar was 0-for-18 last week and is batting just .114 in June. That should be where the extra at-bats come from.
June 16, 2025 at 9:59 am #284912Never forget inept MO did not add one bat to the 24 clown show of a major league offense.
June 16, 2025 at 10:33 am #284914Pugs?
If Front Row Amy is there today you know what to do!Sorry, nearly missed this post, Rat. Amy hasn’t been attending as many games as she usually does. Who knows why? A new romance in her life gobbling up her time? The Brewers not being quite the exciting team that they’ve been over the past decade or so?
And yes, Rat……..the next time I see Front Row Amy, I will indeed hand her your photo with accompanying phone number and your request to take her out for a Friday night Catfish Fiddler din-din. How could she say “no”?

jj-cf-stlParticipantMy intent wasn’t to mislead. Season totals is where Gorman looks worst. That was me downplaying his recent success intentionally. If we use 7day, 14day or past 28days, Gorman ranks first, but in his case, recency bias hasn’t kicked in around here!
