Throw strikes please
Can’t walk people Cannot walk lead off runner
Cubs at wrigley in the bottom of the 9th…they just create magic sometimes. Lose this one and it might snowball all weekend.
Don’t get your hopes up. The Brewers won’t lose many during this last 11 games against the teams they are playing. And you already know what will happen in the 4 games at Wrigley. If you look at our record there this year and the last few years that’ll let you know what to expect this weekend. We will be home again for October.
Bader does a lot of nothing with men in scoring position.
In 27 innings the cubs didn’t score in 8 of those innings. They have men who hit and they went out and got a real hitter while we did zero.
The cubs actually attacked the trade deadline w urgency. Castellanos hasn’t gone a game without a hit since joining the cubs. He is 14-33 with 2 walks in 8 games. They are a club that attacks the ball and plays w an attack demeanor. Not only does Mo do zero all of the time, the FO has zero sense of urgency, and the cardinal players are just soft. They have zero toughness and are complete pretenders.
6 days ago this team was in first place w a lead. Now they are more than a series out of first. 7 runs scored in 5 games.
Cubs scored 7 in one inning. Cardinals won’t score 7 all weekend.
858- I was being sarcastic. I get a kick out of baseball cliche people that say that. Every game counts in the record book and this franchise still can’t figure out the same problem that’s been around for years now. Either they aren’t smart or don’t care.
It’s only one game.
What we just witnessed there is nothing more than a culture problem. The atmosphere and culture of this team is bad and has been for a while now. Laziness and losing are accepted and expected.
The Red Sox and Yankees each scored 6 runs in two different innings today.
The cardinals have scored 6 runs or more total in a game 28% of the time. They’ve scored 3 or less runs in games 37% of the time. More detailed they score 2 or less runs 28% of their games. So if you watch a three game series more than one of the games is a guaranteed snoozer.
Pitching and defense are great but w all sports the fans like points being scored. Three total NL teams have scored less runs than the redbirds.StlcArd- Thanks for paying attention to my posts and I appreciate the concern. I have to vent here and get it off my chest. I do feel better now, thanks.
Theo Epstein owns Moz and it’s not even close. Each move the cubs make is way bigger and works. The cards front office pathetic.
And why not just look at strike 3. That is this team. Zero attack demeanor. Just so soft.
Smelling blood in the water the Cubs score early and often. They have a different mindset and demeanor than the red birds. The cardinals are timid and weak and the Cubs attack w every swing. My prediction is 8-0 heading into the late innings and of course then the cardinals hit a worthless homer and a few basehits that will mean zero. Hendricks will dominate this junior high group of pretenders.
Not a single ball out of the infield in 8 innings.
Have not put the ball out of the infield since the first inning. After the sweep is completed tomorrow night this team will be 5 plus games out. And the front office will do zero. Keep selling out Busch and not a thing will change.
It’s amazing how pathetic they make the cardinals look in Wrigley. Just so soft.
Two weak ground ball outs and a 7 year old groundout ball. We just don’t have men that swing and make contact and the Cubs do. They attack the ball.
I’m sure none of us are surprised to see this club get 4 hits in the first inning and since then they get one infield hit. Meanwhile the cubs have scored in 3 of four innings. Redbirds won’t score a run the rest of the game. This team is beyond miserable to watch.
This will be the 18th time scoring three or less since May started. That isn’t a bad streak that is who they are and this franchise has done zero to improve this offense.
Swing the bat! That is why this team is so soft. 2 strikes and its close you have to swing the bat and attack. So soft.
The Redbirds can’t get out of their own way. Dexter gets tagged out overrunning 2nd base. Zero focus and attention to detail in this franchise.
