stlcard25ParticipantZobrist with the luck double and it’s 4-2. Tying run on second.
September 19, 2019 at 9:27 pm #107000I guess this is what happens when you take a Jack Flaherty out of the game. Bear down Carlos….you can do it!
September 19, 2019 at 9:29 pm #107001Shildt has gone full idiot. What is he not seeing?
September 19, 2019 at 9:29 pm #107002
stlcard25ParticipantGoodness. Now a tiny squib scores the run and pretty much gives the Cubs an easy chance to tie. Carlos is out. I’m guessing Miller is coming in.
September 19, 2019 at 9:30 pm #107003Baez pinch hitting? What is it with all of these cubs who were supposed to be in the infirmary, now seeing action. Maddon thinks he’s Albert Einstein.
September 19, 2019 at 9:30 pm #107004I can’t even watch miller here
September 19, 2019 at 9:31 pm #107005Guess we haven’t seen that before?
September 19, 2019 at 9:31 pm #107006Cubs at wrigley in the bottom of the 9th…they just create magic sometimes. Lose this one and it might snowball all weekend.
September 19, 2019 at 9:32 pm #107007I have the same fear stpcard
September 19, 2019 at 9:33 pm #107008
stlcard25ParticipantThe Fox announcers are just giddy with glee at the Cubs showing some life. We need Heyward to hit into one of his patented double plays.
September 19, 2019 at 9:33 pm #107009Can’t walk people Cannot walk lead off runner
September 19, 2019 at 9:35 pm #107010
stlcard25ParticipantWell, that’s it for me. I’m not interested in staying up to see this one end anymore. Carlos owes Jack a hefty chunk of his salary for that choke job.
September 19, 2019 at 9:35 pm #107011Honestly. Is the majority really surprised by this?
September 19, 2019 at 9:35 pm #107012Carlos has to go in the offseason…. there aren’t enough ER’s in the midwest for all of the heart attacks and not enough blood pressure medicine in the country to deal with him.
September 19, 2019 at 9:36 pm #107013Martinez gave big clues right away that he could not handle this moment. Shildt snoozed right through it. You can’t be as bad as those two were in the 9th.
September 19, 2019 at 9:37 pm #107014Brutal inning
September 19, 2019 at 9:37 pm #107015Once again we are wilting at Wrigley. Same song different verse.
September 19, 2019 at 9:37 pm #107016Honestly. Is the majority really surprised by this?
I wasn’t, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is Shildt was.
September 19, 2019 at 9:37 pm #107017You know, this would really take the starch out of these guys if we beat them in extras after their great 9th inning comeback. Right now, to a man, they think this game is theirs. Let’s sting these guys!
September 19, 2019 at 9:38 pm #107019A saying in baseball. You can fail 7 of 10 times and be an all star. Apparently in cmarts world that holds true as a closer
September 19, 2019 at 9:39 pm #107020Bad CMart tonight. We need a CMart rule. Walk first batter in 9th inning, he comes out of the game.
September 19, 2019 at 9:39 pm #107021
stlcard25ParticipantOnce again we are wilting at Wrigley. Same song different verse.
Let’s be realistic…one player wilted. He should have been immediately pulled after the walk and the single and Miller brought in. Then Gallegos to finish.
September 19, 2019 at 9:41 pm #107022Carp!!!!!! God love him!!!!
September 19, 2019 at 9:41 pm #107023
stlcard25ParticipantMarp!!!!!
