Don’t know how much more Gant and Helsley we can take. Looks to me we need somebodyelse. Baders weakness seems to be throwing right down the center of the plate. What is going in with the Cardinals? Too much publicity?

Ozuna, DeJong, Molina, Edman and Bader are a combined 3 for 18 with 11 Ks and a cumulative 15 left on base.

We’re back to May now with how the Cards seem to be finding ways to lose. Nobody’s gonna be calling Shildt “Mr September” if he can’t get this figured out very soon.

Don’t get your hopes up. The Brewers won’t lose many during this last 11 games against the teams they are playing. And you already know what will happen in the 4 games at Wrigley. If you look at our record there this year and the last few years that’ll let you know what to expect this weekend. We will be home again for October.

Kendrick does not get his cycle as he walks in the 9th. Well, we get one ladt shot at them in the 9th. We only need 4 to tie and a high 5 to win. Stranger things have certainly occured.

DeJong has to be dropped in the lineup. He is making Tyler O’Neill look like Rod Carew.

How about Edman 2nd, Wong 5th, and Dejong 7th?

Team continues to fall apart late in the season. Hope I’m wrong big time but Cubs, Brewers and Nats all look better than the Cardinals. Wholesale changes need to be made if this occurs, including the front office.

It’s been 36 years (1983) since a Yastrzemski homered in Fenway. Mike Yastrzemski of SF ends that homerless drought ghis evening. I wonder when Fenway will see the next Yastrzemski dinger??

Finally this one is over, score 6-2. Cards had their chances early, but swung their way to this L. Bouncing balls are hard to hit. At times, it looked like a game of cricket.

We catch a break. Reds just beat the Cubs 4-2.

Desperately need a Cards win and a Cubs loss tomorrow heading into Wrigley on Thursday.

The way I look at things now, if we cannot beat Washington tomorrow, and thus lose another series down the stretch in our own yard, then we do not deserve a playoff opportunity anyway. Go Packers!!

What the heck was that game all about? We only gave up 12 hits. Somehow we got 2 runs and ZERO RBI’s. Another one I’m gonna try to forget. At least it wasn’t a shutout! Reminds me of an old Yokum album “Just Lookin For A Hit!”

What if the Cards, Crew and cubs finish in a 3 way tie at season’s end? It sure seems like a possibility. I’m thinking about the only reasonable thing to decide it would be to simply go by alphabetical order:

    1. Cards – Division champs

    2. Crew – Wild Card

    3. cubs – Go home

well there were a few key moments in this game. ozuna just wildly swinging at the first two pitchers in the dirt with bases loaded. he never got a strike in that at bat. got to be smarter. next a horrible call on instant replay, they are saying they only get one viewing angle at mlb, I that is true, that needs to be fixed. if they cant do it right, have it done at each field. football has all kinds of angles they look at. the next thing is not hitting with runners in scoring position, across the board and its a nightly thing. our middle of the lineup is just horrible. yea ozuna had a good game last night but what about the other nights. their middle got hits, we didn’t. I thought mikolas pitched ok. couple bad pitches, that one 0-2 cant happen this time of year. I think we need to stop bringing in gant, there are other options, hes been off for a while, its not a recent or momentary thing.

The Crew are now tied with the Cubs two games behind us. With the way the Crew are playing right now the Cards and Cubs may be playing for a wild card spot.

I would never have thought the Crew would have caught fire as soon as Yelich goes down. Simply amazing.

Baseball is a funny game, Scotty…..though not very amusing tonight in St. Louis…..yet pretty darn entertaining in Wrigley with the cubbie setback.

Nats announcers are saying the crowd has been lifeless this series. The Cards have been lifeless for a week now, so not surprising the crowd would mirror that.

You could hear the disappointment in Bob Carpenter’s voice, a native of St. Louis.

well gscottar, it helps that they have a weak schedule but you still have to win and they are doing it. of course us blowing that last game to them really helped. we could have probably knocked them out if we had swept them and really the chances were there if we had hit better the second game and had better relief pitching the next. funny thing is say we win tomorrow but split the weekend, we may go into next week pretty much close to tied up between the three of us.

Yeah no one wants to admit that the team is a bit lifeless but the offense has been hot and cold all season. They need to figure out a way or they’ll lose this division and maybe miss out on the WC.

Wouldn’t hurt if the pen can find the gear it had for most of the season.

Euro, I could get behind Edman playing SS. DeJong needs a break. Right now, he is killing us batting 5th.

Even though our Birds are definitely digging their own graves, it’s going to be a long time before I forgive those lame franchises located in Pittsbugh and San Diego. Today is a MUST win.

Offense? There was an offense? All that I saw was offensive and had the Nats not made two errors the Cards would have been held scoreless. But when you leave the bases loaded with only one out and can do nothing but whiff at groundhog balls it may be time to let some of the bench boys have a shot at it.

Possibly true but my first thought was that he is trying to save some of his powder for this weekends series in ChiTown and Gallegos will be a major player in relieving there. However, the tradeoff is that Gant is now confirmed to be toast for a few extra days.

Approach wise, Zach Duke and Corbin are the same animal. Hope batters chase and usually they do. I would like to know how many pitches were actual strikes. HIs fastball is good, but he rarely throws it.
