The cubs are tougher than the redbirds. Their manager has them ready to play and they attack when they see the cardinals. Our boys wilt and fold their tents in at the sight of this cubs team the last 3-4 years. It’s like our guys are intimidated before a football game or hockey game and the tougher team attacks and has their way. The softness of this franchise lately makes me sick.

Epstein came out and took the blame for the cubs bad start. Mozeliak would never take the blame for the awful team he has put together for many years now. This team in 2019 is no different than 2018 or 2017. Going nowhere for the 4th year in a row.

Only one other team in the NL is averaging over 10 strike outs a game as a lineup. Now at 50 strike outs for the season and we aren’t 1/3 of a way through game 5.

37 innings of play and 49 strike outs from our lineup. And Waino comes in and currently has 21 pitches and 14 have been out of the strike zone. Good job Moz putting this debacle together.

Is it the approach? Are they too technical? Always need to live and die by the scouting report and then cannot adapt or adjust? Overthinking or just outmanned?
I think they are soft and have a zero attack mentality. The demeanor of this team is soft.

32 strike outs heading into today for Cardinals batters. Three stike out inning one.
28 innings of play and 35 strike outs. Just frustrating to watch. And spare me the “it’s early and it’s only March” because these games count the same as games in August. Just tired of the CArdinals looking like a weak little brother to the teams ahead of us in the division.

Fowler is no different than last season. Just isn’t going to change for him. Sometimes you are who you are.
