Watching Nootbar and Gorman swing is depressing! Nootbar can’t hit the ball out of the infield and Gorman can’t hit the ball at all! Along with Walker those three have totally disabled our line up! I will say till the day I die it’s coaching! These 3 will go somewhere else and be stars! It just happens to often to be coincidence! Player development for us has been totally lost!

Why is Lars batting 3rd! Oli seems intent on batting someone 2nd or 3rd who is hitting less than 180! Why? Makes no sense!

He should be shown this quote everyday! People should ask him about it every day! He is a major part of this problem! Change needs to come from the real top down for us to return to the place where this quote is actually true again!

Walker’s hip has been flying open all year! Why hasn’t it been fixed? Anyone can see it! I’ll say it again, our player development stinks! He need to straighten his front foot, take it out of the bucket and he will start to hit! Why can’t they fix this? Does he have to be traded so another organization will fix it! Just makes no sense at all!

BB I didn’t include Thomas because he is the boy hitting 180 this year and I knew someone would point that out, but yes he makes a 6th outfielder who would be better than what we have! I’m not blaming Oli, I’m blaming Mo who has destroyed this once proud organization!

Think about the outfielders we have lost
    Gracia
    Arozarena
    O’Neill
    Bader
    Palacios

And the miserable group we have left! That is the FO fault! People will try and explain it away, but they have screwed up this team!
Jordan Hicks finally has had someone tell him to stop trying to throw so hard and he is staring to look like a mid rotation starter! How many years did we have that kid? And all he did was try and throw 105! We have failed miserably in player development and player evaluation! That’s how you get where we are!

To each his own! That, just keep waiting and something good will happen is a major reason we are in the sad shape we are in IMO!

Texas Card, you have hit the nail right on the head! I do not believe we will ever compete again until we have new ownership and new FO from head to toe! They have destroyed this once proud franchise and are still being rewarded for it! There are plenty of franchises that spend far less than us and compete all year! People need to stop going and stop watching until things change at the top!

1TD definitely the worst Cardinal team I have ever seen the last 2 years! I’m gonna take a week or so off! This team is simply not worth watching! See y’all in May! Maybe! Lol!

So our 5 batters who came in hitting less than 215 were a combined 1 for 20! The other were 4 for 15! We can’t keep playing all 5 of those guys! Herrera should be in every day and Burleson should be in against righty pitching for the moment at least! Night after night of the same pitiful lineup is not working!

Nootbar currently batting 211! I spent quite a bit of time this evening checking out the other MLB lineups! The only other 2 line ups tonight with 5 hitters hitting 215 or less are the A’s with 6 and the CWS with 7! What they have in common with us is obvious! That many players that can’t hit in the line up, you ain’t gonna win often!

The way I look at the stats is this! Very game we play these 5
    Gorman
    Goldschmidt
    Walker
    Scott
    Nootbar
They are gonna bat 20 times and get 3 maybe 4 on a goodnight hits! That makes offense and scoring runs difficult! They other 4 have to carry us! You just can’t win consistently with over half your team batting between 100 and 200!

We all knew that in the off season and what we got was Gibson and Lynn! If we can get one quality starter a year by the time Gray’s contract is over we might be competitive again

I fear continuing to send Scott to the plate may be ruining his chances forever! Some people never recover from this kind of failure! Enough is enough and it’s been enough for at least a week!

And as we sink into another terrible year, Tyler O’Neill about to win AL player of the month, Geez Louise, how much worse can it get?

This team is starting to smell a lot like the 2023 team! If we can’t beat the A’s the next three games it might be time to break out the “Wait till next year” cry!

How many times can one team fail to come through in the clutch? It’s just pitiful!

LA Card fan! We will just have to agree to disagree! I want Donovan in the line up but want Herrera also! Seems like Scott, Walker, Gorman and Goldschmidt could all use days off to rest! Lol! To me 4 guys batting 200 or less when Herrera is as hot as he is makes no sense to me but that’s why I’m not the manager I guess! By the time Herrera gets back in we will have cooled him off with inactivity which just makes me shake my head!

    LA Card fan,
Herrera catcher better defense than Contreras
    Contreras DH
    Donovan RF
You essentially trade Herreras bat for Walker and have improved defense at 2 positions?

LA Card fan, is that a rule? If so how about bringing up a 3rd catcher! When you have 3 or 4 guys hitting less than 200 and Herrera is your 2nd hottest hitter you do what it takes to get him in the line up! IMO!

Is Ivan Herrera hurt? If he is I missed it! If not why has been out for two days? I thought the old saying was just hit and they’ll find a place for you! Is our lineup so stacked he can’t get in the first 9? Lol! I for one would have much rather seen him upon there instead of Walker! A quality manager would figure a way to get him in the line up! That’s his job! If he is hurt I apologize for not knowing!
