I just saw an interesting stat tonight! In games NOT started by Fedde, Mikolas or Pallante the Cardinals have a 629 winning percentage! We’d be really good if we could find three quality starters! lol! I hope and pray none of those three are making starts for us next year!
August 26, 2025 at 6:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #133 thread – Tuesday, August 26 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates #291385Does Pallante ever make out of the first couple of innings without giving up multiple runs! Getting ridiculous!
August 19, 2025 at 9:12 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #127 thread – Tuesday, August 19 at Miami Marlins #290956The one player we have I would pay to see is Michael McGreevy! I love that kid! Wears his heart on his sleeve and competes his tail off! Got a tad of the Bird Fidrych in him!

August 9, 2025 at 6:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #118 thread – Saturday, August 9 vs. Chicago Cubs #290079Pallante’s starts look a lot like Mikolas and Fedde! Over before tbey start really! Doubt he is someone who tbey will ever be able to count on as a solid starter!
August 2, 2025 at 2:15 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #111 thread – Friday, August 1 at San Diego Padres #289375Bling, totally agree with your take!
LA name me one, just one mlb player with Gorman’s stats for 1400 at bats who became a solid MOTO bat for a contender! The only one who comes close is Joey Bautista for Toronto! The reason no one names one is there aren’t any! I’m sure we will see both again next year! Everyone knows they can’t play but we have nothing better in minors and can’t trade them because they have no value! Sad really!August 2, 2025 at 12:19 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #111 thread – Friday, August 1 at San Diego Padres #289365LA Card Fan, I would prefer neither! IMO the only reason either will get another chance is because we have a really bad team and no one better to offer! I do understand why people would prefer Walker though! Gorman has over 1400 mlb at bats! He is 25! He is a finished product imo! Walker has less than 900 at bats and is only 23! He might not be a finished product! Plus he hits close to 250 while Gorman is around 220! Neither will be part of the Cardinals when we start winning again imo! We are stuck with them because we have showed the other 29 mlb teams tbey can’t hit! Just compare what we could have gotten in a trade for both of them three years ago to what we could get now! No comparison!
August 2, 2025 at 10:47 am in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #111 thread – Friday, August 1 at San Diego Padres #289360ZTR your points are right on the button! But what really irritates me is those on here who will say Walker and Gorman need another year to see what they can do! Good Grief! Anyone who can’t figure out what they can do by now you have to wonder! This team is way closer to being a bottom feeder than a contender!
July 30, 2025 at 9:31 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #110 thread – Wednesday, July 30 vs. Miami Marlins #288985Rats was right! This team can’t hit!
KCB only about 10% of minor leaguers traded at the trade deadline ever become regular mlb players! You can look it up! It’s easy to find! The percentage is even worse for us, so tbey have less than 10% chance of ever really playing! Which means they have a 90% chance of not contributing! So write there names down and let’s see! I hope they all three become stars and lead us to several WS victories but ain’t likely!
IMO this Helsley trade is done for the same reasons this FO does almost everything it does, to save money! My guess is none of these three will ever play mlb for any team, but we won’t have to worry about signing Helsley to long time closer money so we saved money which is all that matters!
Based on our recent trading history this means the Mets will make the WS and Helsley wil be NlCS MVP! Good for him! I’m glad he is going to a winner!
July 24, 2025 at 3:39 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #104 thread – Thursday, July 24 vs. San Diego Padres #288174That 2006 teams was definitely pitching challenged! Chris Carpenter was great but other than him Suppan and Weaver were the best we had! I have always believed we would have never won that year unless Izzie had gotten hurt! Wainwright was great during that playoff run as closer! Maybe you can win with an average pitching staff If you have a genius TLR managaing and we are about as far from a genius managing as you can get at the moment!
July 23, 2025 at 7:48 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #103 thread – Wednesday, July 23 at Colorado Rockies #28810685
No, the bottom line is that this team is significantly worse than the teams of 2016-2018!July 23, 2025 at 7:46 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #103 thread – Wednesday, July 23 at Colorado Rockies #288105The Cardinals and the Nationals are now the only two teams to lose series to both the 24 White Sox’s and the 25 Rockies! What a group!
July 23, 2025 at 5:36 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #103 thread – Wednesday, July 23 at Colorado Rockies #28809385
The 2016-2018 teams were a combined 28 games over 500 and never finished worse than third! If you think this latest three year run in comparable to those teams we will just agree that we see baseball differently!July 23, 2025 at 4:35 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #103 thread – Wednesday, July 23 at Colorado Rockies #2880781TD
Amen! I am sick to my stomach over the last three years! We have got to make changes at the very top! I can’t see the end of this pitiful run with these clowns in charge!July 23, 2025 at 3:12 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #103 thread – Wednesday, July 23 at Colorado Rockies #288055This year just looking like 23 and 24! This team stinks and Fedde is just the latest result of a bad group from top to bottom! I’m sick of tbis crappy show!
And now we are going to trust this FO to make good decisions 8 days from now! C’mon man! This is a rudderless ship! Hope is rapidly going for me!
I don’t know Sonny Gray but if we were to set up a trade with someone like Detroit where he would probably be there number 2 with a chance to win it all he might change his mind! Never know until you ask! He is the piece we could get the most for imo! I also think the Yankees might give more than normal for Arenado! Tbey desperately need a third baseman for the rest of the year! Hopefully we can convince these two to go and play for a ring somewhere!
If we traded Gray right now we might actually be able to get a top 5 pitching prospect! Maybe Helsley would bring a top 10 pitching prospect! I really think the kids we have on the farm are going to be the pitching answer but I don’t know when tbey will be ready for MLB! McGreevey is ready right now!
If we start trading our good hitters who are under contract for at least the next couple of years for prospects that may never do anything we are more likely to wake up in 2028 and realize we are lot closer to the Rockies than we are a contender! Just my opinion though! Hopefully we don’t give the right thing whatever it is on July 31! I guess time will tell!
Forsch, we never gave Garcia or Arozarena or Gallen or Alcantra 1200 at bats or 20 starts to see what they could do! Someone in the FO just decided tbey were not good enough and tried to get something for them! We have given Gorman and Walker plenty of opportunity and they have proved one thing above all else! Tbey can’t hit! The way I see the trade deadline is most teams that deal there good players do so because they know they are not gonna be able to sign them in a year or two! That is not the case with Burleson, Herrera and Donovan!
I was hoping our young kids would be our rotation of the future?
Matthews
Hence
McGreevey
Hjerpe
DoyleLet’s at least bring them up and give them a look before we say no! For all we know those 5 might be the next great rotation in the MLB! Hopefully we don’t give up on them like we did Gallen and Alcantra before we actually see what tbey can do!
We have seen what Walker and Gorman can do! Time to move on!
Don’t worry everyone! We will trade Fedde for a top 10 prospect! lol!
