Skip’s Marlins are now 0-7. Ouch!

It would be irnoic if Skip got fired before Oli.

Oli could outlast Skip and Shildt, Scotty. Who knows, Oli could get it together and end up with a more distinguished managerial career than the great Walt Alston. Just got back from a hard day’s work down at the salt mines…..did I miss much?

There is always a wardrobe conundrum on opening day. I decided on my #24 Ankiel shirt.

I never have any difficulty at all with an opening day wardrobe. It’s those silly back flips and subsequent pain associated with the herniated discs…

I hope we get plenty of camera shots that pan towards Johnny’s lofty and awe-inspiring sky box…We can all be assured he’ll be closely following the antics of his managerial whiz-kid with his military grade tactical binocs…

    Carp hits IL

    grats to Pages

but speaks more to injuries to Donovan and Willson

not gonna be good, that’s potentially 34 more to IL before even Noot can be back

(who undoubtedly will now be rushed or at least FEEL rushed within himself to get back ASAP)

This feels just like last year, first the outfielders, then position players, and finally pitching…

It’s cold and blustery. You’d need a flask of Apple Jack at the ballpark today.

Billy Jr. Little Billy Jr. and Johnny are scheduled to gather together around the HP dirt area at 2:30 pm so’s that their adoring fans can honor and display homage to these three members of Redbird royalty. I wonder if they’ll be provided with hearing protection?

Or he took a 10day vacation to get a catcher added w/Contretas dinged up?

    Just exploring all scenarios 🙂

Coffee is for closers, ZTR. It’s about time that Victor leads off. What a treat for the home fans. Many young fans in attendance today have no idea what it’s like to have a prototypical leadoff batter on their side. To them, the names and exploits of Lou Brock and Vince Coleman seem like merely fairy tales from a distant past. And this vote of confidence from his skipper will pay off in Aces for Oli, as Victor Scott will respond…..boy he’s going to respond.

Din-din for me later will be pancakes smothered in pecans and butter, 3 medium poached eggs drenched in butter, salt & pepper over 2 pieces of white toast, beef breakfast sausages and Folgers coffee with a dab of milk mingled in.
