I thinks Rats might be onto something with the hitting! We look pretty clueless in the box!

We can debate on here whether are not we should either continue trying with Liberatore and Gorman are give up? What I don’t think is debatable at this point is by trying to develop them we have greatly reduced any trade value they had 3 years ago!

CIF, pretty sure that’s what Liberatore is and has always been! A pitcher with a losing record and a 4+ ERA who shows just enough good in his outings to keep getting chances! We can’t win big with him in the rotation IMO!

Jnevel if you think Helsley value tbis off season was the same as Hicks when we traded him all I can say is we will have to agree to disagree!

So not trading Helsley in the off season when we could have gotten a kings ransom from somebody ends up being another disastrous move by this FO! Now we can’t get near as much for him AND his meet presence has COST us wins! I will be so happy when at least some of these FO guys are gone at seasons end!

Batting average DOES matter! If one bats 250 and the other 200 that matters! Would you rather have one out of 4 are one out of five! Pretty simple! A number of people on here have pointed to our team top five BA proves we are a good offense! I agree! We don’t hit for power but we battle, put the ball in play and that’s working so far!
You can bring in other stats and that’s fine but to claim BA doesn’t matter is just silly IMO

1TD, I agree about Sagasse! He must have pissed someone off in the Org! We have brought up 2 or 3 players lately not near as good as him! Make zero sense to me!

Sending Gorman up against 99 mph is truly taking a shot in the dark!

Maybe time to make a pitching change? It kinda looks like BP out there!

Who are these guys! This staff is starting to look like the 71 Orioles! And the defense! Just Winn baby!

Rats, I like your take! I seem to recall about tbis time of year last year we played well for about a month and the talk sounded similar to what is happening now!

What has happened this year is we found some solid pieces for the rebuild
Noot, Herrera, Scott, Donovan, Burleson, Graffeco and IMO McGreevey and Saggese even though tbey reside in Memphis!

We have also figured out a couple Walker and Gorman who can’t! I agree with Jj that we should still be focused on the future! So hard to know what to do at trade deadline tbis year but I don’t trust Mo at all so maybe just stand Pat and see what happens!

In the meantime I am happy again to turn my TV on and routing for a team that is currently overachieving and in the race!

First of all! I’m pumped beyond belief! My team is fun to watch again! Playing hard winning, most contributing! So happy!

Second, I’d we do start really competing for a playoff spot we need to ditch Gorman and Walker! Tbey can’t hit! They add nothing offensively! Having them bat is almost like having the pitchers spot! I would much rather see Saggese, Burleson Pozo and Herrera get the at bats tbey are getting! Time to pull the plug and move on!

KCB I just don’t understand the logic! Tbey were supposedly doing the same thing with Liberatore, developing him as a starter but he still pitch a lot out of the pen! If that kid hurts his arm in Memphis I will probably have to be admitted to a mental ward!

This may be the minority opinion but I think McGreevey should be in the bigs and pitching period! No need to waste one more throw from him in Memphis! We are desperate for anyone who can pitch in the bullpen and he can! If he throws a few less pitches being up that is only a good thing! There is not a single person on this forum who doesn’t agree he is one of this Org top 10 pitchers! Let’s find a role for him at the big league level!

ATM couldn’t agree more! If we send McGreevey down we simply don’t want to win! He is the only pitcher(maybe player) we have that I would pay to watch! His desire is obvious! Keep this kid and let the fans watch him! He deserves it and so do we!

Jj I really feel like when we start winning again maybe 2029 or 2030 almost none of the players on the current roster will even be on the team! Maybe Winn, Donovan, Herrera, perhaps Pallante so I’m not that concerned with the current players! Weed and ship em out IMO and get young prospects and really start the rebuild!

Jj as I said in another post we seem to have more players who are really DH’s than any team in MLB History
    Baker
    Burleson
    Contreras
    Herrera
    Gorman

And other than Herrera who hasn’t had enough at bats to really know for sure our other DH’s can’t really hit! It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad!

I have watched Cannerella a lot this year! No doubt he hasn’t quite hit this year like his first two! Everyone has good and bad years offensively! His defense is unreal! Some have said he is the greatest CF prospect ever concerning defense! Time will tell of course but I love this kid! He is gonna play MLB for a long time for someone IMO!

I don’t know if he is coming out or not but if so I would to see is draft the center fielder from Clemson Cam Cannerella! He is great athlete who can hit and is already a gold glove type CFer!

1TD what you say is true but it is really hard to swallow! It’s like we have fallen in the mud and can’t get up! I have a terrible feeling this is gonna be us the rest of this decade at least!

Contreras is really a DH! The problem is we have DH’s than any team in MLB History! And even worse none of them can really hit!

If anyone other than Leahy, Maton or Helsley comes out of the pen we have no shot! Batting practice!
