If we tack on 10, you or I could take the 9th and bring this one home.

Indeed, but could John King, BicycleMike?…….not nice of me……John will eventually settle in just fine….in the AL…..

I would have stuck with Romero here and given Helsley a day off. But managers tend to be more push button. JoJo was warmed up and had an easy 8th. Just stay with him.

My thinking too on Romero, BicycleMike, but Helsley may have took it as a slight.

Save by Helsley. Game ball to Herrera, Hat-tip to Arenado. We asked a lot of Herrera today and he didn’t wilt. His results reminded me of Contreras.

I don’t guess it makes any difference, but some of you may have noticed that after the first 8 games and over 260 defensive chances the Cardinals have yet to commit a “Das Boot”…

    ^^^^^^

Great point. Let’s hope they’re back to playing “Cardinal” baseball.

Gotta believe Scott & Winn have made a difference. Walker is improved. And Gorman is pretty darn good!

Yeah, perfecto for 8 games is pretty good. No oven mitts in sight so far.

For awhile there I had this game labeled as “Lynn Helps ‘Lins to First of Wins”.

But after the comeback, it was “Birds Bats Boisterous in Busch.”

Haha…Win or lose, you have to acknowledge that LL has been entertaining to watch.

He is a bit like another guy with a similar last name from earlier times, “Burly Early” Wynn. And of course the latter day fat guy who pitched for a long time, Bartolo Colon.

Wynn was a a bit before my time, but I saw more than enough of Big Bart and he was almost always a headache. At any rate, anytime I see LL out there on the mound I think of one of my favorite breakfast foods…The Bavarian Bizmark! I’ll take a whole dozen…Haha!

Lynn isn’t getting $10M for his antics. BDW could get 4 inning starts for ML minimum wage.

We’re certainly not at this point yet, but if it becomes painfully obvious that Lance needs to be put out to pasture, then he’ll need to be cut loose. It will be so detrimental to the team to keep trotting him out there every 5 days like we did with Waino last year.

Mo said we had to buy some leadership since our manager hasn’t started shaving yet.

I like having Goldy and Arenado hitting back to back in the lineup. I wish Oli would do that more often and stop trying to squeeze Gorman in between them just because he is LH. The lineup staggering is overrated and Gorman is not ready to hit that high in the order.

Read some information that Mo was soundly booed yesterday, and said he was “insulted” at that. Hey, you have a high-profile job and fans remember the present more than the past. So the booing comes with the territory. Got to suck it up Mo and do a better job.
