Anyone have the lowdown (stats) on this TBA fellow? Impossible to throw out any predictions until we find out who we are facing. But coming off the positive energy created from last night’s ballgame, I like our chances for victory.

And what’s for din-din tonight one may ask? Not really sure what I’m having yet, as I’ll be attending the Bucks-Pacers game this evening. But for lun-lun(that’s “lunch” to the layman), I’m having one of Rat’s scrumptious Hungry Man turkey delights. A word to the wise……never buy a Hungry Man chicken as the chicken tastes like cardboard. But the turkey is some of the best turkey you’ll ever gobble.

I would sit Donovan and reward Winn by moving him to the leadoff spot.

Hopefully with the lefty on the mound for Arizona that means Gorman will sit in this one. Don’t let one lucky dong fool you. If he starts you are looking at at least two strikeouts.

Oh, and Pugs, you are right about the chicken TV dinners. They aren’t very good. Once in a while I will get the Hungry Man’s Rib dinner. It’s pretty good.

He sat last night. He also features a slightly better BA and OBP vs. LHP’ing.

A nice scenario for this one would be to get to about an 8-0 lead after 5 or 6, and then cruise on to an 8-3 win using the scrubbeenies out of the ‘pen over the last 3 or 4.

Not sure what is on tap for din-din. We had pork ribs cooked in the crockpot last night, with a baked potato and green beans. Really tender ribs – they were excellent!

We will have to see whether Goldy and Gorman can find an acorn two games in a row.

Looks like a big pile of green stuff just north of St. Louis right now. Looking at the Doppler Radar it’s hard to tell if it will affect first pitch.

    Stay tuned……

p.s. Baltimore led the Angels 4-2 last night in the last of the 9th in Anaheim. The Angels had two outs, bases loaded, and Mike Trout coming up. He took three strikes. Never got the bat off of his shoulder. However, the last two strikes were border-line high strikes.

That weather should pass before first pitch

It’d be nice if the team could collectively stumble upon a nut two games in a row with a W tonight. They’ve only won back to back games twice this season, victimizing the Padres and Marlins.

The lineup is improved since Siani replaced Scott. Siani can’t hit, but he has a .370 OBP compared to .139 for Scott. Arenado makes sense in the 3 slot. We will have to see if the killer Gs can do it again.

We don’t know what to expect from Matz, but he’s probably not going too deep.

I have always thought Arenado and Goldy should hit 3rd and 4th. It took Oli three years but he finally figured that one out.

I see that our old friend Randal Grichuk is in the lineup tonight. He has always been a bit of a threat against LH pitching.

Matz is quite possibly the most consistent and predictable Cardinal starting pitcher I’ve seen in several years. I always know what to expect when he takes a turn.

Well, i hope consistent and predictable doesn’t mean the same as last time.

Regardless of the order of battle composing this line-up, there’s not a genuine threat to be found anywhere. The team leader in RBI’s has collected only 12 of them and happens to be the lead-off man. In the HR category the team leader has only 4 taters. There’s nothing that poses a legitimate power threat from top to bottom. These dogs simply have no teeth.

Siani leads the entire Big Leagues in sacrifices with 3…Hey, it’s something.

Walker probably needs to go down to Memphis, but we just can’t spare an outfielder right now.

It has become obvious that there is a problem with Edman’s wrist, which is concerning for the future in addition to a problem right now. Carlson is a lost cause. There is nothing in Memphis. It is a serious situation. Mo needs to find a center fielder. He needs to find a playable outfielder.

Matz is consistently 18 batters. No telling what inning or score, really doesn’t matter with him, at 15 batters someone must warm.

If hes’ lights out, he threw 6 IP.
If the whip is high, batter 18 may come in the 4th, or early fifth.

Oli is trying to get 5 IP so his starter can get a win. That’s him supporting his rotation, and I’m sure it’s appreciated. Sometimes “get him a win” turns into “got him a loss”.

It’s still more than a week before the month of May and the White Sox season is over.

The ChiSox are this year’s Athletics. They could threaten the ‘62 Mets 120 loss number.

Man, they went down fast as just a few years ago they were real good.

Our cleanup hitter has a .268 slugging percentage and a 62 OPS+. But let’s hope, as they say in the investment world, “past performance is not a guarantee of future results.”
