Burleson has a chance. Old school player. Natural lh swing. I could see him as a high average guy.oh yea-average doesn’t matter anymore. But I still give him a chance to stick.

I don’t see a scenario where Scott starts the season here. Rightfully so.

Hey I deserve credit for still being awake in the bottom of the ninth of a 9-0 Azzwhuppin. And I’m rewarded with a big fly from Saggesse.

Looks like we could score some runs once we get our everyday lineup out there. Heal up boys. Wish I could have seen Lynn.

We don’t have any more injuries than other teams. My question is are other teams more accurate with their reporting of injuries? It’s become kind of comical. This organization has some really predictable isms.

With Baker up there in that situation put a k on your scorecard and you will be right most of the time. It’s a 3 outcome game now. K W HR boring.

You had to know Carp would walk into one sooner or later.

If we want to develope cost controlled starting pitchers instead of overpaying for free agents on long term risky contracts, well I think that’s a great idea. In fact I’ve suggested it all along. But it requires moving your highly paid superstars for high end prospects. Than spend the saved dollars on upgrading your whole scouting and development system. Upgrade your coaching at every level. But we don’t want to do that. We want those turnstiles to whirl without pause. So we take half measures to make it look like we are trying to compete. Like signing the oldest top end fa pitcher available, than continue to spend on even older guys. Than sign Carp as the cherry on the top. I’m done with rant. Happy we haven’t traded the young core guys. Hope Gray heals fast.

I’m not going to be hypocritical. I made fun of Bubbles (Schildt) on a pretty regular basis. But not one thing has gone right since the day he was fired for philosophical differences. Karma I suppose.

Bling-trust me-you don’t want to trade Gorman. Second base is just where he’s standing right now.

Maybe Goldy and Arenado can whine enough they bring Waino back. Gray was my last choice for a reason. Than they continue to get older with Gipson and Lynn. Carpenter and Brandon Crawford. You gotta be kidding me. I’m pretty frustrated. We would have been way better off without any of these guys and done a real rebuild. I will be watching and cheering for the young players, waiting patiently for Mo to retire. Oily won’t make it to July. They will blame him for the whole mess.

Carlson confuses me at times. He’s from a baseball family and I just think he should be better than what he is. He’s a smoothe player, which at times makes it appear he isn’t trying that hard. I hope his injury is healed. This may be his last chance with the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are never honest/accurate about their injuries. This situation with Edman shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been paying attention. He’s not close in my opinion.

Yep you can’t go in the season with what you have if Tommy can’t play.

Yep I’m weary from inaccurate and negative press and postings. I’ve really cut back on reading all the stuff on the internet. I miss the days of TSN and professional writers. Now everyone with a cellphone is an expert. I miss Bob Broeg. Now we all focus too much on the $ and the flawed front office. I’m guilty. Can’t wait for opening day. I’m actually pretty pleased with what we have now that it’s soaked in. Brian is right about the ss depth and health of our sp is concerning. Other than that I’m glad we didn’t trade any young controlled core guys. If we had traded Carlson for peanuts like everyone wanted, this Edman issue would be a much bigger deal. Maybe fo is a little more on the ball than we give credit for.

You guys act like the Cardinals are the only team that has injuries. If Tommy isn’t ready for opening day, the major problem is a backup ss. I think we can deal with that. And actually we have a pretty good everyday squad. Injuries to our starting pitching is the biggest concern.
