It looked to me like Wilson was walking away when ump said something to him so he turned to say something back then the clown ump said something that really set him off. Umps just need to STFU and stop trying to start shit with players like that.
Not a fan of the pick at all, feel he will be nothing more than a relief pitcher and that is a waste of a top 5 pick
I would think Arenado would get at least what O’Neil did get as Arenado still very good defensively and still solid hitter and stays healthy and that is something you can’t say for O’Neil
They can’t keep Arenado and go into the seaason doing nothing and with the $$ they will have tied into the current roster they won’t do crap in offseason and they will be a bad team just like they were last year…
Depends on how far they go with the reset….
If they trade their major players like Gray, Helsley, Contreras, and Arenado they are not going to be any good. Because they aren’t going to go sign anybody worth a crap to replace them…but they what does it matter they missed the last 2 post seasons with these guys might as well trade them and try to get better picks while doing the reset instead of 1/2 baked trying to win.
This front office is such a joke you can’t even take them seriously with the stupid stuff they do…..what a waste of a roster space.
I have no idea if the Cardinals are pursuing Soto, but as I stated a day or two ago, they definitely want to sell tickets. Even the Cardinals front office is smart enough to know that 2023 was an epic disaster that is going to kill them at the box office if they don’t do something big.
Problem is so far all they have done is add old SP who while one was good last year he isn’t that good every year and will not be anywhere near that good next year and then added 2 bad sp’s who gave alot of innings who cares since they were not good….So far what the cards have done will do the opposite of doing something big to sell tickets…..
Sigh yet another over the hill sp added to the staff and a big time $$ for sp coming off career year…betting it doesn’t go well for the birds. Adding all these old guys is a major recipe for disaster next year and while a minor upgrade over the starting rotation from last year, they might pass the Pirates in the division but that is the only team they are better than right now. What a crap show of a disappointing offseason so far…
Sure feels like MO is trying to put together a rotation of a bunch of #5 pitchers not actual good pitchers….team still one of if not worst in the division.
UGh 10mil for Lynn, seems like there was better options to spend that kind of $$ on……don’t like this move really at all..
Jack being a Jackass…..been ready for him to be out of STL for awhile….and way he is pitching it can’t come soon enough
Unfortunately the FO is not smart enough to do anything to turn this around. They made their bed by doing jack and squat this offseason and even the previous offseason but going after cheaper options at sp instead of better ones.
Trade deadline to get more SP won’t matter if the SP keeps going like they are we will be so far out of first it won’t matter
