No, Game Card, I’m right. Trade the veteran’s for AAA prospects who are ready or near ready for the majors. Lower the payroll to sixty million and battle the Pirates for 4th place. That would be fun. I have to say it couldn’t be any worse than watching the crap we see every day now.
If they are seeing what they have in the minors why bring in anyone from the outside to block people.
Use the kids at every position and move Heaven and Earth to get rids of Gray, Contreras and Arenado.
Put a AAA team on the field and watch them grow.
Arenado was a fool not to opt out when he had the chance. He was a bigger fool not to accept a trade to Houston. He could be in the WS this year and the next two. He has no chance to see hardware with the Cardinals. I think he was hoping that the Dodgers would beg for him. Not since he’s washed up, so he got what he deserved. Walker should have been traded a year ago but the Cardinals still think he will be a power hitter. Never going to happen. First of all you have to be a hitter before you become a power hitter. They should trade him at the deadline.
As long as these owners are in place they will NEVER take full measure again. They may not even go half-measure. I can see no-measure, with all AAA players out there and a self-imposed salary cap of 100 million. We’ll be the A’s of the NL Central. There’ll still be enough fans and TV money for Junior to make a nice profit.

Those number are revealing…the problem is that those other three teams develop talent. Our minor leagues give us, largely, busts. Can Bloom fix that? I hope so.
Raise the mound to 15 inches where it was up through 1968 and you’ll have fewer injuries, pitchers will throw 7-8 innings routinely and complete games will return.
Thank You, Blingboy for injecting a little common sense into things. Some guys, even great athletes, who can hit AAA pitching simply cannot hit major league pitching. I wish some on this forum and the Front Office could see that and stop trying to make chicken salad out of chicken s—.
Arenado, Contraras, Goldschmidt, Carpenter, Mikolas, Matz, Gray, Fede, Hellsey must all be gone one way or another. I you are going to start a youth movement…then do it.
Trade Walker while he has any value at all. Otherwise he becomes Carlson whom they traded for nothing just to get him out of town.
After that ridiculous press conference yesterday the only answer to the question of fixing the Cardinals is the one I have been saying for years…NEW OWNERS!!!!!
