ParticipantDoes Wacha have a no hitter going right now?
wagee12
ParticipantBall game, LOL. This is the perfect example of why one should not bitch until the game is over!!

ParticipantGlad the Birds had their stopper going yesterday. Wacha allows just two hits. So happy he was not traded last year.
wagee12
ParticipantSo let me get this straight. Pena gets three hits including a bomb last night and gets benched today. HUMM.
wagee12
ParticipantHas there ever been a major league team half way through May with this many starters hitting below the Mendoza line? Carpenter and Wong are embarrassing to watch.
wagee12
ParticipantLOL, hey there colhusker, have you ever heard of Miles Mikolas? He is only 5-0, with five quality starts, 35 Ks, only three walks and a superb ERA of 2.51. Must not be good enough to qualify as a bright spot, right?
wagee12
ParticipantWeaver has not had a good outing since big head Dan and McCarver bragged on him three weeks ago.

Participant+1
He is a reflection of this team. Can’t stand prosperity. The offense, without Pham and Molina, flat out sucked these last two games.wagee12
ParticipantToo bad our fast ball hitters are not going to get a shot at Lance Lynn. He is 1-3 with a 7.28 ERA for the Twinkies so far this season.
wagee12
ParticipantLOL, no the WS is not won in May but it certainly can be lost when it comes to playoff position or no playoff at all. Hey, here’s a novel idea, let’s bash the first place team and its manager from the National League’s Central Division.

ParticipantTough decision tomorrow night whether to watch the game or the High Chaparral.

ParticipantWeaver is not ready for prime time and should be shipped out to Memphis. What is this now, three lousy starts in a row.
wagee12
ParticipantCardinal broadcast talking heads have done way too much bragging on Weaver for sure. Another consecutive bad outing and I would like to see him removed from the rotation.
wagee12
ParticipantThat’s A Winner!!!
wagee12
ParticipantLOL, I have forgotten now, but who was the guy on this board that wanted to trade Wacha for the entire calendar year of 2017??
wagee12
ParticipantWho else got a sinking feeling when the kid walked the batter in front of Cepedes? I turned to Investigative Discovery, couldn’t watch. When I turned back to the game, of course my fear had been realized.
wagee12
ParticipantI see that some here apparently sit perched on a day to day basis to attack a new player at the first opportunity. LOL, but not my cup of tea.
wagee12
ParticipantIs Lackey finished?
wagee12
ParticipantHe has had some at bats this year when he reminded me, heaven forbid, of Randal Greatchuk! High fastball up and in then breaking ball low and away.
wagee12
ParticipantWow, the former Cardinal killer, Bud Norris, was hitting 94-95 on the radar gun on a raw day in St. Louis. Impressive save, the first save of the season for the Birds.

ParticipantLOL at the comment about Wainwright being bad. The dang plate umpire was squeezing him and not giving him the low strikes at all. He hit 92 on the gun several times and frankly I was somewhat encouraged by his outing. Sure looked better than last season.
wagee12
ParticipantHey somebody call Holland down and Florida and tell him to take his time getting ready to advance to St. Louis. Just tell him a team does not need a closer when it does not have a lead in the late innings or a ball game for that matter.
wagee12
ParticipantI am sure I probably missed this info, but has Trevor Rosenthal signed with anyone?
wagee12
ParticipantYou are right Brian. Jedd is a solid big league player. Blue collar and a good team man too.

ParticipantFastball pitcher in the low 90s, his best days are in the rearview mirror.
