    12:15 p.m. Carlos Martinez (2-1, 1.42) vs. RHP Jacob deGrom (2-0, 2.53) FOX Sports Midwest/KMOX

Update: Due to the Mets Sunday cancellation, RHP Noah Syndergaard (2-0, 3.29) will start instead.

Almost game time and no posts so I guess I will go first.

Would be nice to steal this one from Noah S and the Mets today. That might be how we will have to win this one, steal it. Curious to see the lineup and if Pham is out again today. Assume we will have some lefties in there so both Dexter F and Matt C will be in the startling lineup.

Would like to head to Pittsburgh on a high note. I’m calling this one 5-2 Redbirds behind a good, but not great, outing from Carlos M.

Well Martinez has been good enough through 5. Problem is the bats are AWOL yet again.

And now in the 6th Martinez is blowing up – but gets a strikeout and a DP to get out of the mess with no runs scored.

Leone gives up a run but the Cards get one back in the 7th. 2-1. Really going to be big to get something going in the Pena-pitcher-Carp due up next inning.

Would be a good time for Carpenter to break out of his slump…

Pham ties it with a single…still 2-2 with one out, men on first and second.

Martinez grounds into DP. That was great chance to take the lead. 2-2

Gregerson can’t hit the zone. Needs to make a pitch.

Gregerson can’t throw strikes. Bases loaded. He is about to walk a run in.

Gregerson has loaded the bases with 2 outs. He needs to make a pitch now

Walks a run in. The bullpen is killing it…and not in a good way.

Gregerson surely was not fooling anyone. Two line drive outs, two singles and two walks.

Why does Pham sit as much as he does? Guy is on base all the time while two others in the lineup all the time are hitting at .200 or less.

Mike Matheny is the master of leaving the pitcher in the game 2 hitters too long. I’m so freaking pissed I have to keep seeing his incompetence. Gregerson should have been pulled after the walk to load the flipping bases! But no! For whatever reason our blinkering idiot of a manager keeps him in the game to walk in the game winning run!

    Plus there is this!

Because he gets injured a lot even when minor. Groin, flu like symptoms, accidental head laceration,….
