That interview is priceless! Finally somebody asking the questions we are all thinking of!
The answer that bothers me when III says the Cardinals are in the top 10 in payroll! He knows that is not true! We are 15! Anyone can look that up! I don’t know the gentlemen doing the interview but he should be given an award!
I know I’m beating a dead horse but this starting pitching is just terrrible! The bull pen is nothing to write home about either but man our starters gotta be the worst in the league! Alec Burleson needs to be sent to Memphis! Can’t hit, can’t field, can’t run!
I think Ollie should bring in Helsley for 2 innings every time! It just works so well why would you change it!
LouBrock, you are correct sir! Remember the playoffs? Tried to go 2 innings there! Even worse results! He is a one inning guy, maybe 4 outs! 6 outs is gonna be tough!
It’s the mangers job to see he doesn’t have control of his fastball and get him out of there! Which he did, 2 batters too late IMO!
Sometimes your team wins because of the managers decision and sometimes they win in spite of them! This win was definitely the latter!
I have been very quiet about the manager but this one is gonna away me in the get rid of him corner! Helsley is NOT a 2 inning guy! I’m fine with him coming in to pitch the 8th against the top of there line up! But as soon a they get a base runner in the 9th he has to be pulled! 2 batters too late and it is gonna cost us big time!
We’ve finally found the cure for what ails us! Kelly Jansen! Lol! Can we take him on the road to pitch against us everyday?
Best win of the year IMO! Kinda the blueprint for us to win some games! Our pitching is just not good enough to win many 4 to 3 games! Gonna have to be more like 8 to 6! Just gotta rake and overcome a mediocre pitching staff!

Doubt we can get anything good for Flaherty! 8 starts this year and not 1 quality start! Terrible! He pitches afraid to me! So afraid his pitches will be hit hard in the strike zone he is constantly behind and walks and hits batters more than anyone I’ve seen in quite some time! Time for a new home for him!
I think even if they hired you or me it would get better! It can’t get any worse! It is hard at this time of year to get someone outside the Org so we are kinda stuck there! If it were me within the Org I would like Oquendo, Molina or McGee in that order! I have a feeling a lot of this pitching problem is because Yadi is not there! That may not make a lot so sense but I believed it so I think we need him on the bench in some capacity!
Firing the manager is inevitable at this point but IMO it won’t do much good! They’ll just name another mouth piece like McEwimg as interim! The people who need to go are the people above the manager like Mo! Fire him and hire someone for the Tampa Bay org. They seem to be really good at doing a lot with an owner who won’t pay much money!
Burleson is this years PDJ! Just keep playing him no matter what! Can’t hit; can’t field, can’t run but keep sticking him out there! At least PDJ can field! Good Grief!
1TD, I have 5 TV’s in my living room so I can watch 5 games at once! The big screen in the middle with 4 smaller tv’s surrounding it! I used to always watch the Cardinals on the big Tv but lately they have been banished to the far left corner! Lol!
6 or 7 pitchers tonight started and went over 100 pitches! It’s not unusual! He should have come out for the 7th! Hicks did what he does! Yes he has been better lately but I still don’t trust him I’m a one run game! Not sure I trust a single pitcher we have in a one run game come to think of it! This is a total disaster! Tired of watching it really!
