Didn’t see that coming. Cabrera is usually pretty good against left handed batters, but Freeman is no average left handed batter.
You never want to lose one where you were up by 7, but especially as bad as we played in April you cannot give away a game like this. Yepez with a bad play in left allowing a ball to fall in – should have been the second out.
If our plan is to make Noot the everyday CF after Carlson returns then that is a terrible plan. Our OF defense is complete rubbish without Carlson. I know he can’t hit RH pitchers but we desperately need his defense.
Watching Yepez and Burleson play LF tonight makes me want to cry in my pillow.
