Its really not that easy to keep a losing streak intact for this long, but, again we find a way.

Burleson is this years PDJ! Just keep playing him no matter what! Can’t hit; can’t field, can’t run but keep sticking him out there! At least PDJ can field! Good Grief!

Okay gscott, Mo’s Algo links are nice and all, but what we really need are some good Rickles links.

    The alternative is Yepez.

I have already turned on my YouTube for Rickles. That will make the evening better.

Well, that’s 8 in a row and 13 of their last 15 games in the ditch. Do you do something in an attempt climb out, or do you just lay there in the waste and die?

Well let’s just let Burleson catch and Yepez pitch. Then put Noot at shortstop and and DeJong in the OF.

Then we have a team! Let’s go.

Going to make my fourth highball now.

We’re stuck with beer league quality outfielders now. And they can’t hit very well either. What the hell’s going on around here?

At this point you just let it play out.

Wainwright isn’t going to help. He’s about the same as what you’ve already got.

The die is cast. All we need now is a complete clubhouse implosion. Get the guys fighting with each other and the potential exists for this to become the worst season in Cardinal history.

Per the box score, Cards were 1-8 with RISP. Ugh!

Just caught the end of the game, not a good way to end it. This nonsense with Contreras is just bizaar. Did they not do their homework and know that he has trouble calling pitches if it’s so. It would have been known internally if that was or is the case. I didn’t like the signing to begin with and I hate it now even more. But it does show how inept management is. Something has to happen here.

Another 1 run loss. Score 3 in the first and still can’t win a game. Man, worst Cardinal team on what, 33 years? The 1990 team was the last team to finish last. That was the team Whitey walked out on. Ollie might just do that, or be shown the door before he gets a chance to bail.

Going 60-102 might be what this organization needs. It might be the only thing to force them to do things differently.

The thing is we had elite outfielders. But everyone it seemed felt we needed more offense and it’s always worth the risk to have inept defensive guys out there if they can provide the offense. I’ve never been in that boat. I prize defense and pitching first. It’s easier if you got the coaching to figure out how to generate some offense than it is for your offense to overcome mediocre pitching and defense.

Burleson cost us 2 runs with his poor defense today.

It’s my impression this is no longer a simple losing streak. It’s now deteriorated to a full on curse brought on by some odd sort of excommunication. In the post-game presser the current Cardinal manager said, “Our job as a staff is to stay consistent.” In regards to this horrendous stretch of losing baseball he also said, “It’ll build a heck of a lot of character, I’ll tell you that”…Okay, if I’m seeing what I think I’m seeing, his team is consistently losing and he wants to stay consistent? As to character, how would anyone who has even a sliver of a grasp on reality characterize this team?

Bring Walker up and send Burleson down. I have seen enough of him.

The ghost of ol Abner spotted that spray can of pine tar. Its a line that cannot be crossed.
