Well the fact it froze probably made it so gallegos got through that inning. Miraculously started working when it went to commercial. Who knew I would have a bearing on this game in some odd way.
Hmmm. So we have a right fielder in center, a center fielder in left, and a middle infielder in right. Besides that, another middle infielder at first and a third baseman at second.
I like Caray a lot, Willie. Consummate pro who accurately calls the action with both plenty of knowledge and enthusiasm, but never too over the top. I think he’s real good.

Wish I would have gotten to actually see liberator pitch. Finally used my cable app on my phone and sent it to my tv. Funny how that works fine but the cable channel didn’t. Got to see last couple innings. Hopefully liberatore is finally ready to step up. We could sure use him if he’s right.
I’m happy we won, but some day I would like someone to explain to me why it takes a plethora of pitches nowhere near the strike zone and multiple baserunners to close a game? What happened to three straight outs and we’re done? When was the last time we had a closer who did this with any consistency?
Well, Libby only went 5 shutout and we won 3-0 rather than 1-0…but I’ll call that a successful pick. Nice to get the series from the division leaders.
Half in jest and half in heart I said earlier this afternoon that I didn’t think Liberatore could save us and he undoubtedly worked the best game of his Big League career in tonight’s game. So before his next turn, I’m gonna say it again…

Contreras was made a scapegoat by the FO, coaches and pitches only for all of them to backtrack and then he catches a shutout with a starting pitcher he’s never caught before. LOL. Another indictment against this entire organization. He was never the problem.
