KeepComingBackParticipantI always liked LL. Didn’t seem to take himself too seriously. Yet he was intense about the game.

KeepComingBackParticipantThey both hit right-handed pitching better than left-handed. Herrera hits better than Burleson against both right-handers and left-handers. Burleson is unplayable against left-handers.
This is true. Herrera had better splits last year against rp. .800 ops. He looked pretty good against lefty yesterday. Good point about still being able to backup catcher.

KeepComingBackParticipantRight now I’d say at some point we’ll end up dealing either Herrera or Burly.
That’s the text I sent my son today-trade Burly. They’re both 1 tool players but Herreras is right handed we have plenty of lefties. And he clearly has more power.

KeepComingBackParticipantI missed it. Herrera 3 homers are nice but behind the dish basically means he’s 2023 Jordan Walker 2.0 with the tools of ignorance on but have a game son at the plate.
Yep that’s why I said he looks like a dh. Love his hitting but doubtful it can offset his defensive liabilities. Poor roster construction. 3 catchers and only 1 can play the position.

KeepComingBackParticipantHercules Herrera 3 big flys. Looks like a dh to me. Bring up Crooks.

KeepComingBackParticipantIt’s a LOT more fun watching and going to games when there’s a packed house.

KeepComingBackParticipantYeah, the party’ll be over.
No Dom, the party just started. We have 179 more opportunities for sweet victory or bitter defeat. Baseball is back and there’s balance in life again. Most evenings the result isn’t really the important thing. It’s the opportunity to debate the result that keeps us watching.

KeepComingBackParticipantBeen awhile since we’ve seen lots of hot bats. Trash cans?

KeepComingBackParticipantJust got back from a 2 hour bike ride. Weather is good right now.

KeepComingBackParticipantDid you know?
The Cardinals went two years without holding first place on their own. They went from the final day of 2022 until this Thursday without being alone in first, even one day. The streak has been broken.
I heard the announcers say first time 2 games over 500 in the same time frame.

KeepComingBackParticipantBurlesonhas to quit making outs on the first pitch.
KeepComingBackParticipantI’m just speculating here. Acoording to Dr. Google that’s a 2-6 week injury. No matter if there is a retroactive date or not, they seem to be making sure he heals completely. I’m not high on this guy for durability reasons.

KeepComingBackParticipantI hope Fedde doesn’t turn out to be a Freeloader…
You have to appreciate a good play on words. And Dom that is most likely “Spaceman” Bill Lee. I stay away from alcohol and mood altering drugs so as not to sound like Bill. So I prefer the oven mitt if you don’t mind.

KeepComingBackParticipantHaha…Yeah, he’s like Rickey. “When Rickey gets on, Rickey scores!
Rickey was hard to like.

KeepComingBackParticipantI love Winn but agree ATM. Bottom third. I liked him leading off at first but he just didn’t get on base enough.
KeepComingBackParticipantThe old 3 outcome approach just isn’t fun to watch.

KeepComingBackParticipantMeatball to Harry.
KeepComingBackParticipantI agree JJ. Waiting around for the 3 run bomb bores me. I take naps.
KeepComingBackParticipantGood one JJ
KeepComingBackParticipantThe finale of the Mo era is proving to be a real doozie!
KeepComingBackParticipantI doubt he hits .250/20/80. So we won’t delve into the reasons why you hope that makes people mad.
KeepComingBackParticipantWe’ve suffered thru enough of this. Carpenter and DeJong and now Arenado. Being forced to watch guys that can’t perform anymore because of contracts. And we get a Mikolas or a Matz thrown at us for good measure. It’s a recurring nightmare.
KeepComingBackParticipantI guess that’s what I mean. Pay to make him go away instead of paying to stay here and interfere with
Getting at bats and evaluating the guys who are going to be here ( or not)
KeepComingBackParticipantArenado mucking up the works. Give him away if that’s what it takes. This isn’t going to get better.
