I was looking for McGee, too, and didn’t see him. Nice to see the big smile on Rolen’s face. Glad he got in the HOF. He belongs there for his bat and his glove.

I was extremely encouraged to see the Home Opener sold out and all the fans showing up in spite of the weather. The Opening Day ceremonies were as grand as ever. Hope the season turns out to be a pleasant surprise.

Winn came around to score 85 runs last season. That’s quite a few runs. Especially for a team that struggled on offense. And 70 of those runs were scored in games in which he was slotted at lead-off. I like him leading off.

As has been explained he doesn’t get on base enough and you’re basing this on his 2024 numbers where he had over 50 xbh. Where would he have been if he had 10 less xbh?

He doesn’t walk enough and he doesn’t get the opportunity for whatever reason you want to bash Oli for to steal enough. His 2025 ST might have the brass spooked and that showing has put him at the bottom of the order for now. Where he belongs.

Haha…Yeah, he’s like Rickey. “When Rickey gets on, Rickey scores!

    Rickey was hard to like.
