Geesh the Crew are well on their way to be on the receiving end of another Yankee thrashing again today. 5-1 Yanks so far and the over/under of Judge homers today is 2.

Victor with a 3 run bomb to right! This young man just might crush 18 of them this year…..my prediction……and I’m seldom wrong on baseball predictions.

Victor Scott II. I wonder if this guy’s potential is much higher than we expected. It sounds like he is an incredibly hard worker. His swing looks completely different this year and I cannot believe it but he is hitting the ball with authority. Hopefully he can thread the balance though and still get plenty of base hits.

Lefties were very productive the first time thru.

Contreras is in danger of putting up an Ofer vs Ober here today as he flys out to end the Redbird 2nd. But thanks to Gorman, Pages…..and especially Victor, oh what an inning she was. 3-1 Good Guys heading to the 3rd.

Donovan resembling your prototypical #3 hitter by reaching base yet again with a leadoff single. Arenado then doubles, with Donny stopping at 3rd…..and then Burly promptly doubles off the right field wall…..5-1 Birds. Gorman singles with Burly slapping on the brakes at 3rd……oh my oh my oh my!……Pedro Jose Pages ramrods a 3 run blast to left and it’s 8-1 Cards….are those white towels I see being waved from the Twins dugout or mearly my wild imagination?

Cardinals are swinging the bats today. Burleson really scorched that 2 RBI double off the RF wall.

Need to make this one official. I’m looking out the window to the west and rain’s on the way.

If I’m the Twins I’m bringing out every game delay tactic I have in my arsenal. Trips to the mound, arguments with the umps(all of them), fake injuries….any and everything to possibly get this one washed away. Oh boy what a crying shame it would be to see this one rained out……I think I’d be pouting for a good week…..maybe two.

Pallante looking spiffy. Five frames would be great, six and I’m turning somersaults……and just as I compliment him, Castro takes him deep…..no more compliments to Andre if he’s going to do that.

They don’t “wash” games away anymore. They just pick them back up another day and continue.

It looks like most of the rain is going just a little north and just a little south of the stadium.

Oh wow I didn’t know that, Jnevel. So if a game is canceled in the 3rd inning, all the stats count and the game is resumed at a later date. Now that’s a fair way of doing things. Why this wasn’t implemented decades ago is amazing. I bet Aaron would have accrued 720 or so homers instead of 714 if it had.

Right now I’m strongly considering adding Brant Brown to my Christmas card mailing list…….hope I don’t take him off it this year.

Tarp is on the field as a nasty storm looms near. With the score being so lopsided and the Twins probably itching to get out of St. Louis as quick as humanly possible, I bet the officials won’t hesitate calling it off if the weather looks like it might be dicey the rest of the day.

Well gang it’s been real, but with the lovely score, coupled with the ugly weather, I think I’m heading to the gym for a workout and then a quick stop at Dairy Queen afterwards to pick up a couple of chili dogs and a banana split.

That is a W if the game is called right since the visiting team had 5 innings of at bats?

Yes, but they should be able to finish this game. It’s stopped raining a little west of the ballpark.

Matz is showing that he can work under pressure and protect a slim lead…
