As for some of the other position players, you’ll love this, Bling…In today’s game Gorman played both 2B and 3B, Donovan played both 2B and LF, Nootbar played both RF and LF and Scott manned up in both CF and RF. Chinese fire drill…Before the season’s done these guys are going to need a road map when they climb the dugout steps before taking the field at the start of an inning.

Well, what a fun start to the season that series was!

Hopefully Walker’s hand / wrist isn’t bad and he gets back into the act today or tomorrow.

I sure am ready for another big year. I know 2022 isn’t all that far gone but the truth is outside of the 17 game winning streak that salvaged the ’21 season it’s been a solid decade of pretty mediocre baseball. The second half of 2022 was magical but not sustainable in the least.

It’s time for a 4-5:year dominate run with a WS title sprinkled in there…

It was 30K Saturday and it actually looked like about 30K. Weather was a factor yesterday. I actually toyed with coming down but I saw the weather and figured it would be better to stay at home this weekend.

After 2023 the fan base confidence level was at an all time low. They won 83 games last year and you’d figure some would return but honestly the lack of almost any activity in the FA has some leery.

I Also think they’ve lost some of that travelling fanbase. Not the ones who live across the river and not the ones who live in the burbs but that hardcore fan who traveled 60,90,120 minutes back and forth to see a game. Idk if they get some of those people back especially now you can pay to stream the games. Some might return if they see a winner but I think the days of drawing 35-40K on Sundays and near sellouts on Friday and Saturday are over especially in April, May, Late August and September.

It’s a LOT more fun watching and going to games when there’s a packed house.

I lived in San Diego for 15 years. Yeah it was fun going to opening day and yeah it’s electric feel when more people are in the stands but up until a couple seasons ago they only drew on the weekends and the weekday crowds sucked because they used to suck and it’s nice being able to walk up and select where you’d like to sit during the week.

I enjoy being at the park regardless but when you have better choices of seats and less wait in line for concessions it’s pretty fab as well. I hope they people showing up for the game appreciate the calm for now. It’s a new feeling and a transition.
