Ernest T Bass had a pretty good arm. He could really throw the rock!
Opening day starts a new season of life for me. My habits revolve around the game each day. This team and season will provide entertainment in incrments. It will also be the stimulus for a few angry outbursts. Strangest offseason I can remember. Im definitely ready to move on from it and watch real games. I think Walker and Gorman will fail. I think Scott and Herrera will replace them as our brightest young stars. With a better manager and functional front office, this team might be capable of winning their weak division.
I think Scott and LUUUUUKEN!are going to be big contributions G. Maybe more so than Walker and Gorman.
Sigh. ST means so very little. The only thing proven is Siani should not be on the od roster. But he probably will. Hence, ST means so very little.

JJ-Your words hold as much truth as any of the other reporting. Unless it comes right out of the players mouth, theres a real credibility issue. That includes the gm’s. Your speculation or my speculation is as good as anyone elses. Oh, and Bob. I trust Bob.
Correctomundo G. So a highly paid, pull happy, declining player with a miserable post season history. Maybe that’s why only 2 teams seriously kicked the tires. And they both have short left field porches.

I hadn’t really thought about if he would accept it. I figured he would be looking for a longer deal. But I agree with the trade deadline deal. Him Fedde and Arenado. As long as we aren’t somehow in contention for the division.
No JJ. The guys with expiring contracts whom we aren’t signing. Fedde and Helsley. If Helsley has a good season, would we give him a qualifying offer? Would anyone sign him with him having the qo?
I don’t think the Cardinals were bound and determined to increase their number of good prospects this off season. If that were the case, they would probably have traded Helsley and
Fedde. They probably think they have some really good prospects already in the system that just need to be developed better.I think both of these things are true. But we’ve all seen how prospects go. No-one gets more exited about these guys than me. But the success rate is low. I thought we should have traded Fedde and Helsley. That’s where the best prospects would have come from. Flood the system with guy’s aquired from our current assets. Especially since all three guys they were planning on trading excercised their no trades.
