jj-cf-stlParticipantThe boys are rallying around Mo?
March 30, 2025 at 4:29 pm #278393Willson can’t lay off anything outside and off speed.
Bad luck with the rocket off the pitcher.
March 30, 2025 at 4:29 pm #278394
jj-cf-stlParticipantMust be what it is.
March 30, 2025 at 4:36 pm #278396First sweep. Hopefully first of many.
March 30, 2025 at 4:37 pm #278397
jj-cf-stlParticipantParade?
March 30, 2025 at 4:55 pm #278399The last time the Cardinals jumped out of the starting gate with 3 W’s was in 2006.
March 30, 2025 at 5:01 pm #278400Another good win! Good pitching, defense and offense. Would love to Contreas and Wynn break out soon. I did not see them sweeping the Twins.
March 30, 2025 at 5:11 pm #2784023-0 leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling.
March 30, 2025 at 5:47 pm #278405Defense really solid this opening series….lot of good defensive plays, only 1 error by Fedde on a throw.
Bullpen 1 earned run in 11 innings
Starters were solid….Fedde with the best start of the 3
March 30, 2025 at 5:49 pm #278406Yeah, it’s nice to get off to a good start, CIF. Obviously all the games count, but I just think it’s really important to set an early tone that instills some confidence and establishes a winning mindset. Especially with this season’s edition consisting of a 26 man that contains an abundance of young players.
March 30, 2025 at 5:53 pm #278407Pages and Gorman with a collective 6 for 8 day with 2 HR’s, 4 RBI’s and 5 runs scored in their ’25 season debuts.
March 30, 2025 at 5:59 pm #278408Dodgers with a 5-0 early season W/L record and well on their way to going wire to wire again…Little Eddie leads the NL in HR’s with 3 big taters…Haha!
March 30, 2025 at 6:01 pm #278409Parade?
Only if you’re the grand marshall.
March 30, 2025 at 6:07 pm #278410Don’t worry folks. The mob will be jumping all over this team, coaches and and ownership when they drop one to the Angels.
March 30, 2025 at 6:12 pm #278411Yeah, the party’ll be over.
March 30, 2025 at 6:42 pm #278412Yeah, the party’ll be over.
No Dom, the party just started. We have 179 more opportunities for sweet victory or bitter defeat. Baseball is back and there’s balance in life again. Most evenings the result isn’t really the important thing. It’s the opportunity to debate the result that keeps us watching.
March 30, 2025 at 7:06 pm #278413Yep, and if I knew what was going to happen, I wouldn’t bother to watch, KCB. And yeah, baseball’s back, which not only means daily action on the field of play, but also that winter’s over and I don’t have to worry about shoveling snow…Haha! I hate winter…
March 30, 2025 at 7:27 pm #278415
jj-cf-stlParticipantI hate winter too but these tornadoes and hail are no cakewalk.
March 30, 2025 at 7:43 pm #278416Say what you want, but this team played a great three games to start the season. It’s a long season, but that is what it takes to flip the narrative. I’m still skeptical, but for a weekend that was fun for once.
March 30, 2025 at 8:23 pm #278417Yeah, it’s a long road ahead, but they’re 3 games closer to the magic number…
March 30, 2025 at 8:50 pm #278418Matz collects the first save of his 10 year career on the merit of having worked 3 or more IP’ed in today’s game.
March 30, 2025 at 10:20 pm #278419I was under the weather this weekend but enjoyed scanning the game threads afterwords and checking the box scores. I’m happy to see Scott doing better. How did Walker look in the outfield those first two games? And how do the catchers look back there? All that gets reported is the hitting.
March 30, 2025 at 10:34 pm #278420Poor Randy Dobnak. Pitched 5 1/3 against us today and was DFA’d. He however has an unusual contract that pays him full boat even if he’s on the minors.
March 30, 2025 at 10:35 pm #278421I thought Walker looked ok in the field. He didn’t look ok on the bases and got a couple hits IIRC.
March 30, 2025 at 10:40 pm #278422Obviously both catchers look good with the bats so far, but I’ve really been impressed with Pages behind HP in the early going and it wouldn’t surprise me too much if he gets almost as many innings behind HP this season as does Herrera.
