Storms forecast all day around the St. Louis area. Possible severe ones as well.

Will be fortunate to get this one in.

I hope that we get this game in and that the lads bring their brooms with them.

An overall cloudy morning here in mid-Mo resulted in just a sprinkle. Sun has been out an hour and skies have cleared. Here’s to hoping any future rain buildup stays south of I-44.

Predicting a loss here as Pallante’s stuff did not look good in spring. The same could be said of Gray though and then he went out and had a pretty good game.

Hoping to see the same lineup today. No point in running out a Sunday lineup as the players had Friday off and then Thursday is an off day as well, so only 5 games in a row.

Mostly cloudy and small cells dieing out. This looks good overall to play, but even a delay should pass thru quick, if there’s a flairup.

I wouldn’t mind Gorman starting for Burly. Walker had a walk yesterday that showed very good plate discipline, hope he starts again. Hope the HBP’s yesterday isn’t a problem.

I like Gorman where he is now, keeping the bench warm. Why toy with success?

Speaking of Gorman – they have to play him or else send him down to Memphis.

I guess (barring an injury) he will get spot starts at 2nd base, 3rd base, and DH?

If Arenado gets one day off a week and Donovan gets one day off a week and Burleson gets one day off a week that should get Gorman in the lineup 3 days in a week?

Din-din today will be a Ribeye steak in the air fryer, some jumbo french fries, deviled eggs, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a chocolate shake for dessert. Then me and Whitey Herdog will be on the couch with a cigar or two for the Giants/Reds game as well as the Twins/Cards game.

Hope we don’t have any of those severe storms and tornadoes they are forecast for our area later today.

Judge homered again. A two run drive in the 1st inning. Goldschmidt was on base.

Imagine that, Goldschmidt getting on base.

A couple of cells tracking up 1-44, one nort, one south of. The closest is near Sullivan, a good hour drive from the stadium.

Winn not trending good offensively through spring training and our first two RS games, so I believe this to be a pivotal game for him. He needs some quality ABs……and quickly. What’s for din-din one may ask? How does breakfast for din-din grab you? Three poached eggs over two pieces of white toast, smothered in butter, salt and pepper. They’ll be accompanied by all beef sausage links, hash browns and French toast. Go Cards!

I have never been a big Pallante fan. I wish McGreevy was getting this start.

A bloop Buxton single to left plates the first run on the day. I think “Buxton” and Buxton county comes to mind from the hit movie Shawshank Redemption.

Not sure about din-din, but here at the Bike Mike casa for lunch I enjoyed a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, BBQ potato chips, and figured what the hay, how about a cold Pacifico cerveza to wash it down. Yeah it is midday on a Sunday, but like the lovely Lady Bike says, “there are no rules in retirement.”

I would have put Baker in today and let him take a few hacks and sit the slow starting Contreras.

I think your #3 batter is generally considered to be your best all around hitter. Looks like Donny now gets the nod with Goldy now plying his trade in the Big Apple……and with those words he gets the free pass. Runners now situated at 1st and 2nd with just one out…..and now a wild one to the backstop will move those two up 90 feet apiece. Arenado whiffs and Burly pops out to the catcher to rekindle dark memories of Cardinals in scoring position in 2024.

After 2 righty outs, maybe Burly can crack the code with 2 lefties on…

Man, Burly fouls out in a pitch way out of the zone. I mostly like what I see out of our hitter’s pitch selection so far, but Burly is an exception.

Showers are approaching Pacific, tracking toward the Stadium.
