I have seen Hagen Smith in person and he is impressive. He beat Carolina 2-1 and his FB was between 95-100 and slider was unhittable. He is 6’3″ 215 and is a lefty. The Cardinals do not get a chance to get a pitcher like Smith very often.

I like this article because it refers to Eddie as a SS which is where I hope he plays this year.

Your use of “utility player” is not accurate. It implies that he plays a lot of positions without being a starter at any. That is not true. He has been the best and could be the starter at SS, 2B, CF & RF.
