What does it say when Baker is hitting 2nd and Walker is down at #7?

I’m perplexed. Is Walker a future star or just another top prospect who couldn’t make it in mlb?

I heard from an eyewitness that Walker is the same hitter he was when he was sent down, so I don’t even know what to think about it. Baker is clearly not suited to bat 2nd, so I don’t know what to think about that either. Taking the perpetual lineup churn together with the perplexing roster moves, it just looks like a total disintegration of any sort of plan or direction.

    Another start for Scruffy.

If there is one player I don’t want to see back next year that I KNOW I will – it is Scruffy Mikolas.

Juan Soto gave us the double.

Walker sticks his bat out there and get a hit barely fair to make it 1-0.

He’ll see you next year but you already knew that.

Just bad baseball to kill a potential big inning. Scott not bunting to 3rd and Noot with poor base running.

    Stanton a long dong.

1-1 in the last of the 2nd.

I’m happy to see Walker accomplish something even if it was fluky.

Wildebeest Walker let the ball play him there.

God this guy is a mess. Let someone else try and fix him next year.

As long as the Cardinals are playing the Yankees, I’ll once again take the opportunity to insist that Thurman Munson belongs in the HOF.

Noot has to put it in play there in the 4th with 1st and 2nd and no outs. Can’t just strike out and throw a wet blanket over a rally. He is getting to look just like a typical Cardinals middle of the order type hitter. No situational ability whatsoever.

Hah, Winn and Baker with some two out lumber. Now the bronze busts coming up.

Like I was saying, Baker looks pretty good in the two hole.

That is what Baker is here to do. Make lefties pay and he does his job.

The bronze busts didn’t keep it going, but we are up 5-2 in the 4th. Bringing it to these chumps.

I don’t hate the Yankees. They are an iconic history rich team with dozens of iconic players. But I love beating them. I love when we play them. The Cardinals could be White Sox bad and I would pay to see them play the Yanks.

    I don’t know…good or bad, lefty or righty….

Cards need to play Baker & Walker every day until the end of the season.

Well here we are close to winning another series vs a good team. Just makes you wonder about this team.
