Attendance is way down and they’re trying to cut operating expenses. Do you know what it costs to replace a light bulb these days?

Gray’s ERA is up over 4 now. This team is looking pretty scuffed right now….

Yeah, they’re scuffed. And they have to play the Mets again today, so there’s a good chance they’ll be more scuffed. Then they play them again on Sunday and…well, you get the picture. They’re now already 6 games off the pace in the division and it’s more than 3 weeks until Memorial Day. By then they may be scuffed and skint-up beyond any hope of recovery.

I’ll be darned…The A’s are 3 games over even and only 2 games off the pace the ALW. Good for them.

Those Cubs are generating more runs than any other team in the Big Leagues by a wide margin. They’re averaging more than 6 runs a game. That’s a lot.

We only play the Mets 7 times a year?

Dang, I guess that’s what cross league play has brought us to…

Well the Mets took the first 5 games so we have two more chances to not get skunked for the season.

On the brighter side we are playing .500 ball against all teams that are not the Mets.

1TD, the Cubs did well trading for Tucker. He is a great ball player and is at his peak right now. I imagine he will get a $400+ million contract this off-season. Pete Crow-Armstrong also has really helped as he has been a star in CF so far on offense, defense, and the base paths. By all means he has been a true 5 tool player as even his arm is superb. I was hoping he would have just been average but he looks like a star.

I am surprised at how well the Cubs have been overall though. I expected them to flounder like they do quite often and end up a little over .500

The Doppler Radar shows a big pile of green stuff in St. Louis as I type this. I assume this one will be delayed. At least if it appears to be a lengthy delay they could just postpone it to a night game tonight. That’s what it should have been in the first place.

At least Rats gets his night game.

The only enjoyable part of last night’s game was the tribute to The Mad Hungarian. As we stand now, the Cubs appear to be head and shoulders better than our club. Things can change, but not a lot to hang your hat on with this team at the moment.

But management called this a “reset”, so it is not a surprise.

I am not surprised at all. I predicted they would be the superior team in the NLC and they are. In fact I could see them winning this division by 10 games since they may be the only team in the division with a winning record by year’s end. The question is can the Mets, Dodgers, or Pads stop them in the playoffs?

Yeah, Albert, the Cubbies are generating offensive production all across the board. They have five players who have produced between 22 and 29 RBI’s and Dansby and Happ have yet to get untracked and have their names included among the aforementioned five players. They also seem to be getting some real nice work from their rotation. I’m not prepared to coronate them as an all powerful empire, but there’s a good possibly they could distance themselves high atop of a division like the NLC.

Yeah, I’m not sure if the Cubbies can withstand a post-season that includes the Mets and Padres, but the Dodgers are in serious trouble…Their post-season aspirations now hinge entirely on the extent of Little Eddie’s ankle injury…Dodger fans are beside themselves at the thought of losing Eddie!

This rain seems to be stuck like glue to the StL. area. The entire day’s been saturated with a steady, soaking rain. It’s to the point that I’m beginning to question whether they’ll get enough dry weather to play a DH tomorrow. Might be for the best to simply dodge the Mets and limit the damage to Friday’s loss.

Just watching the Phils wrap-up show on Extra Innings. Their post-game crew is brutal on their own guys. I’m wondering if they get paid per insult.

Is anyone able to watch this game? I have Extra Innings and stated watching game 1 as usual on the Cards channel. At the top of the 2nd inning the broadcast ceased and the channel went back to its landing page.

I tried the Mets channel – nothing. Eventually by the 4th inning the broadcast picked back up on the Mets channel but never on the Cards channel.

Neither channel is showing the 2nd game of the double header.

I live in Nashville and get the regular Fan Duel channels for both the Braves and the Reds but cannot get the Cards on Fan Duel.

    What gives? Anyone know?

Radio broadcast has both games Rats.
Pallante is a good infielder. 19 pitches after 2 innings? Ok, low count.

I am watching on SNY. Clown shoes Bally has the ponies.

Pallante is getting hit pretty hard. 3 exit velos were over 109 in the first. A bit lucky.

Burly with his first homer. 2-0

Both games televised on FanDuel Sports in Oklahoma. Glad to see Burleson connect on one.
