He will be extended no worries on that. We can expect the production to go down. Why does it have to be all the way to “a beaten and tattered image of himself”. The decline will happen how fast who knows but it will happen.
and for every each player that you mentioned there are hundreds that stay as bad and never make it. We can point at all the success stories but there is a long trail of failures that can’t be ignored.

Why not trade Edman? All players are tradeable. Other than your obsession with him why wouldn’t the Cardinals trade him? He is good player but not close to being a superstar. You have to give something good to get something good back. I think they at the very least should do the due diligence to explore what they could get for him.
