They do what they do. By comments here you see a majority of posters are fine with their philosophy. Apparently all we needed are inning eaters in the rotation. Now we have three. I will never understand the Lynn signing. Didn’t they watch him pitch last year?
I rather have kept Hudson than signed either Lynn or Gibson. Both are no better than Hudson but they are older and more expensive.
That’s a lost of rebounding and hoping. The innings eaters do allow a lot of traffic on the bases. I am not optimistic about this team but then again I usually wrong in my predictions so print those world series tickets.
If he meant 5 years like the one he had 2023 maybe. I rather not take the risk. Why do the Cardinals feel the need to extend players so close to the best used by date? But I know the odds of them extending Goldy are 100%.
I doubt they will be able to match Monty’s asking price. The Mets and Yankees will offer significantly more after losing out on Yamamoto
