Edman is so good he should be traded
So Gibson is better than Gray. And Lynn going 7-2 with the Dodgers is a good metric for his 2024 season.

Sonny Gray record was 8-8. Win and losses is not a good metric. If Gibson 15 games won makes him better then Gray’s only 8 wins makes him worse. That’s why it is a poor metric.
The truth according to you.
your obsession with Edman is weird
I am very happy most of the people here are very happy with the 3 new pitchers. I am not I like Gray but not the other two. Time will tell. I am not thrilled but you have made it abundantly clear I am not only in the minority but also unable to understand how much Lynn and Gibson bring.
That’s you opinion Nigel. I am entitled to mine. Either way we shall see.
The expectations were more like Gray and less like Lynn. You already had Mikolas so adding Gibson would be ok but adding both Lynn and Gibson is redundant. I don’t get adding Lynn at all. Innings eaters or not. Lynn is the same as Gibson and Mikolas only worse.
Negativity about Lynn is well warranted. Gibson might be marginally better than Lynn. Gray is a solid addition. Mikolas is basically the same as Gibson. I will keep Matz out the assessment as the spring chicken of the group I will stay neutral on him.
I agree with Marilyn.
34,36,35,36,32 your 2024 rotation
Replace Wacha with Gray and there is your 2024 rotation.
Lynn’s FIP was 6.06 in 11 games with the Dodgers and gave up 16 homers. Not to mention his 4 homer inning in the playoffs. Ugh
There is value in answering the bell every fifth day. Both additions are 36 and Mikolas is 35. With the amount of traffic all three get isn’t there a concern of older pitchers breaking down? Lynn gave up 44 homers last year…isn’t that concerning? I don’t like the Lynn signing at all. Gibson is ok I guess.

Maybe they can find another 36 yr old innings eater for the trifecta.
Gibson got 12M. Innings eaters yep with a lot of traffic. WHIP: Lynn 1.394 Gibson 1.318 Hits/Innings Lynn 198/192 Gibson 189/183. Ugh Do not like either signing. Rather a better pitcher for the 23M. But I see a lot people here like this so to each his own.
Maybe they should have kept Hudson.
That’s #2…..next…..maybe we can get under 30 for the next.
Wacha has been good the last two years but not totally healthy. I would take him over Lynn. The Lynn signing is baffling
He only gave up 44 homers last year and will be 38 in May. Great addition
GC did you watch him pitch last year? I did and it was not good at all.
ugh
he is Waino replacement. He will be just as bad
