Lame comments by Arenado. He and Goldy just let the young guys “overrun” the clubhouse? Where was Mr. Marmol in all these? Carp to the rescue?
Pretty lame comments from Arenado today. The clubhouse was overrun by the young guys last year. There so many of them. He and Goldy were just not the type of veterans the team needed to run the clubhouse so he is happy for Carp to hold the young guys accountable. What a crock of manure.
We don’t need no stinking relievers. We have plentiful inning eaters. In a pinch I bet “Eddie” can help out the bullpen.
Liking players or disliking them is a personal choice. The “Eddie” intense fandom here is a little weird. Goldy is a great player but my opinion, just mine nobody else’s, is that I don’t want to extend a player who is on the downside of his career. Yours may be different good for you.
I like Arenado, Gorman, Noot, Gray, Walker, Winn, Herrera, Liberatore, Helsley, Donovan and Thompson. My favorites Donovan and Gorman.
Next 8 yr contract. Will never understand the fascination with “Eddie” but to each his own. Maybe he will be traded next year. I can hope anyway.

Arenado is signed for the next 4 years. Goldy is 36. I am not extending a 37 yr old for 4 years. I would not extend him after this year even for just 2 years.
I didn’t say that meant the future was equally bright for both. But take a look they are amazingly similar.
Cease and Flaherty career stats are very similar and they are the same age. Flaherty’s shoulder problems are concerning. But career wise they are stat twins.
