That should do it
Goldys walkoff last night was one of those times I’d usually say “maybe that’s what will get this team going”
But plenty of those moments have happened in the last three years and led to no momentum each time
Numbers aren’t pretty and record isn’t either. But this team still has a lot of good players with proven track records and is only 2 games out
Another reason they’re a 500 team is that only one starter hits above 260
It’s gonna be great when they send ponce down and wacha keeps pitching
I feel like a masochist turning these games on
Almost as funny as Yamamoto being the throw in on the yelich deal. That deal has gotten the brewers at least 5 games in the standings on us this year
If you just look down the box score at batting averages/OPS you start thinking this team is overachieving
I think the sample size is large enough to know what we have
I know we pay goldschmidt a lot but maybe he should get a day off for Ravelo. See if someone can hit
Bet this guy gets shelled first time pitching against another team
Wheels come off for flaherty in the fifth. He doesn’t like keeping the lead
That deal was too soon in my opinion. That being said I don’t think he’s as bad as his start this year
They’ve gotta he looking into an ozuna extension at this point. He’s really been the only consistent producer this year. When he isn’t hitting for average he’s offsetting it somewhat with power and run production
Who would have guessed Hudson would be the guy you feel most comfortable giving the ball to in mid june
None of the games in this series were ever in question after the fifth inning
Signing schildt to an extension was also a laughable move no other good franchise would make
I would be all on board to sell but I don’t have any faith in the front office to get anything more than a washing machine
Living in Chicago, I don’t really want to go to another one this year after taking in the Saturday and Sunday games of the first
Having said that I probably will
This is a tie game that feels like it’s over. I wasn’t expecting a ton up 4-0 to be honest
I love how when we can’t hit the pitching looks good. Then when we give them a lead that really changes
I really don’t like Rizzo against flaherty. Throw the ball high and in here
I think the frustration peaks with people here because this is the fourth year in a row like this. They tried to help the offense with goldy and it hasn’t worked so far. We can’t say they didn’t do anything. It’s frustrating to see a team that can show how good they are in April but can’t avoid the kind of stretched that eventually are the difference from making the postseason and not. not saying there won’t be bad stretches but if we could squeeze a few more close games during these stretches it would go a long way when we get hot later in the year
One game but it would be nice to see the offense break the funk. You look at the individual numbers in the lineup and they are very disappointing
If this season doesn’t end with a playoff appearance the FO has to be done for though, right?
Cole hamels on my fantasy team at least
Gonna be a short day if he’s getting squeezed like this all day. Huge DP though
