Here we go again….a never ending river of raw inexperienced hurlers having their way with our veteran laden lineup. Cy Gallen the lucky recipient tonight of getting to face our boys. Teams are going to have pitchers feigning minor injuries just so they can line up to face this Cardinal offense. These guys need to start acting and playing like professionals….its pretty darn sad!
June 20, 2019 at 8:37 pm #95206Goldys walkoff last night was one of those times I’d usually say “maybe that’s what will get this team going”
But plenty of those moments have happened in the last three years and led to no momentum each time
June 20, 2019 at 8:37 pm #95207I echo your post Pugs.
June 20, 2019 at 8:41 pm #95208Same song second verse…inept offense, front office twiddling there thumbs
June 20, 2019 at 8:43 pm #95210Heading home to watch the last couple inning of this whatever you call it.
June 20, 2019 at 8:46 pm #95211It’s one thing to have a terrible offense but have no leader to light a fire under our ass. Instead we Have schildt with at least you tried.
June 20, 2019 at 8:48 pm #95212Ozuna drops a flyball. And then a grounder goes right past Brebbia, Wong, and DeJong.
Man, these guys are hard to watch. They cant hit and they cant field.
1990 and another last place finish coming up, perhaps?
r/Esteemed Rat <~~~~who will be driving a new 2019 540i BMW tomorrow
June 20, 2019 at 8:57 pm #95213And I’m as mad as hell at this manager for continuing to trot out Carpenter as this team’s leadoff man…amongst other screwy decisions. How can Mo and DeWitt sit idly by and watch this man manage…manage to continuously make the same mistakes over and over again and again. At this point stick anybody other than Carpenter at the top of the order….they can’t do any worse. The only way this team can rebound in the next few years is to eat a bunch of $ and give the youngsters an opportunity to flourish. Cut ties with Fowler and Carpenter for starters, even if you can’t get anyone to take ownership of at least a minor portion of their contracts …..just let them go…..no team is going to give you anything whatsoever of value in return for them. Their continued presence is going to nothing but block our future. And whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN MARCELL TO AN EXTENSION UNLESS YOU TOTALLY WANT TO BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE…..BUYER BEWARE!!!
June 20, 2019 at 9:00 pm #95214Get used to it as management will do nothing but the usual tweak. This entire organization needs a full overhaul.
June 20, 2019 at 9:02 pm #95215Well the offense is finally showing a little life. Can we complete the comeback?
June 20, 2019 at 9:02 pm #95216I turned it on. It was 4-1. It is now 4-3. Just saying
June 20, 2019 at 9:05 pm #95217I am watching on mute becaus I refuse to listen to Thompson whenever the Cardinals trail and are trying to mount a rally. Not that I’m superstitious or anything
June 20, 2019 at 9:07 pm #95218Stlcard25 needs to say he’s going to bed. Wink wink.
June 20, 2019 at 9:07 pm #95219Yadi doesn’t come through. Now up to Wong against the lefty.
June 20, 2019 at 9:12 pm #95220And Wong grounds into a force play.
June 20, 2019 at 9:15 pm #95221And the lead is back to 2. Brebbia has fallen off
June 20, 2019 at 9:17 pm #95222Babe Anderson the culprit this time….5-3 Fish in the top of the 8th.
June 20, 2019 at 9:18 pm #95223I have a joke to tell. A 2019 Cardinals player comes up to bat, lol, that was the joke.
June 20, 2019 at 9:21 pm #952242nd chance for Wong to be a hero, and fails. Easy squibber to 2nd. Now 5-3 after the dinger by Anderson. This is a dismal showing all around. They should be up by 5 not down by 2 in the 8th. 10 LOB so far.
June 20, 2019 at 9:24 pm #95225I think Schildt just gave up. Webb in for relief.
June 20, 2019 at 9:26 pm #95226
stlcard25ParticipantBrebbia needs relegated to mop up duty. That is all. I’m ready to head to bed now.
June 20, 2019 at 9:31 pm #95227Tommy Edman!!!!!
June 20, 2019 at 9:34 pm #95228My goodness, what a gloom and doom thread. Last place? C’mon folks. I wonder if Edman was already slated to go back to Memphis tomorrow. Either way, it was a huge home run, especially just after he had almost struck out. Tie game in the eighth.
June 20, 2019 at 9:39 pm #95229Will Goldy have back to back nights with the game winner?
June 20, 2019 at 9:42 pm #95230Instead he looks at strike 3. Taking lessons from Carp.
