JF half way to stlcard25 prediction of 10ks. Now let’s get him some runs.
June 18, 2019 at 7:57 pm #94928Yamamota benefits from a wide strike zone
June 18, 2019 at 8:04 pm #94929Happy Birthday Lou Brock
June 18, 2019 at 8:13 pm #949301982 willie
Participantyea I got to say happy birthday lou brock. I was such a fan back in the day, still am. I think maybe willie and ozzie are the only ones that mean close to what he means to me. im not old to have been around when stan was playing.
June 18, 2019 at 8:13 pm #94931jack With a pick off to send us to the Bottom of the 4th. Offense needs to relax a little bit; make contact. It doesn’t have to be a long ball. Back to back hits will work.
June 18, 2019 at 8:19 pm #94932Marlins take the lead with Hr from Castro
June 18, 2019 at 8:24 pm #94934I don’t want to take anything away from Yamamotas pitching performance because he is dominant but still it has to be pretty embarrassing for our offense that he’s done this to us for the last 11 innings and with such ease
June 18, 2019 at 8:25 pm #94935We’re behind, that’s when the bats seem to come alive. Let’s see if it happens in the 5th
June 18, 2019 at 8:26 pm #94936Bet this guy gets shelled first time pitching against another team
June 18, 2019 at 8:37 pm #94937That may have been Jacks last inning with him leading off but who knows because the pitch count is respectable and so far he’s been our only offense.
June 18, 2019 at 8:39 pm #94938This will be the 3rd time thru the line up. I think they know what to expect by now so how about we play loose and get some runs. I’d be happy with 1 run
June 18, 2019 at 8:40 pm #94939I know we pay goldschmidt a lot but maybe he should get a day off for Ravelo. See if someone can hit
June 18, 2019 at 8:46 pm #94941Cardinals offense: Just pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
June 18, 2019 at 8:49 pm #94942
stlcard25ParticipantThis is ridiculous. Yamamoto is not anywhere near this good.
June 18, 2019 at 8:50 pm #94943I agree with GACard. Yamamota gets shelled by any other offense.
June 18, 2019 at 8:51 pm #94944It’s now 3-0. May as well be 13-0
June 18, 2019 at 8:58 pm #94945Flaherty has had a good outing. The offense needs to pick it up.
June 18, 2019 at 9:03 pm #94946Wow. A hit. Can we get 2 in a row?
June 18, 2019 at 9:07 pm #94947
stlcard25ParticipantThe story is always the same when Flaherty is on the mound, it seems. Homers doom any chance that he can hold on. Now Cy Yamamoto, fresh from AA, has stymied the Cardinal offense once again.
June 18, 2019 at 9:09 pm #94948I know it’s against our offense which isn’t saying much, but I have to tip my cap to Yamamota for what he has done. Hopefully that was his last inning and we can get something going against there bullpen.
June 18, 2019 at 9:14 pm #94949I am watching the last 2 innings on mute because listening to Thompson when the Cardinals are trailing and trying to mount a cone back is annoying.
June 18, 2019 at 9:17 pm #94950I saw a shot of Yamamota laughing in the dugout. I can only assume that it was at our offense. This is when someone from the Marlins organization needs to sit him down and explain that not all offenses are this bad.
June 18, 2019 at 9:17 pm #94951Yamamoto may win the Cy Young this year.
If we go on to lose this game it will really hurt. We aren’t going to catch the Brewers and Cubs by losing to a team like this. You have to sweep teams like this if you want to keep up with the big boys. Very frustrating.
June 18, 2019 at 9:24 pm #94952If you just look down the box score at batting averages/OPS you start thinking this team is overachieving
I think the sample size is large enough to know what we have
June 18, 2019 at 9:26 pm #94953So once again our pitching isn’t the problem.
Sure jack gave up 3 and Webb and Brebbia have off nights going but our offense is terrible
I think we should put a lid on any discussion of acquiring a starter until our offense earns the right to consider one
Under 5 hits a night wins too few games to warrant any kind of good pitcher being brought in.
