Ponce needs to stay in the rotation. That much is obvious right?

Mabry is probably watching at home thinking, I told them it wasn’t my fault

Well Pugs…guess I shouldn’t have doubted you. You had to sandbag a little on the score but you called the win and the Goldy homer.

    Whew! 2-1 Cards

It wasn’t pretty but we will take it.

As miserable as this season has been we are only 2 games behind the first place Cubs.

Another key to victory was stlcard25 pretending to go to bed, how sneaky. I think my earlier key played a big part too. That is team work. Go Cardinals. 1.5 out.

We all learned a valuable lesson here and that is to never doubt Pugs.

Numbers aren’t pretty and record isn’t either. But this team still has a lot of good players with proven track records and is only 2 games out

Tag team ftw. Glad to be of service. Now I’m really off, and in a much better mood. Ha!

We are actually 2 games out Dave but considering how bad we have played we are fortunate.

We are going to have to depend on pitching and defense to carry us. Please no more Wacha.

I just realized that gscottar after J posted that. We are fortunate to be just 2 games out.

Tomorrow’s game is big because anything other than a series win against the Marlins will be a disappointment.

In the 35 games the Cardinals have lost this year they are hitting .205 in those games and averaging 2.63 runs per game in those 35 losses

Not so sure this offense is turning those #’s around w/o some changes

Thank you gentlemen (stlcard25 @ Dave).
Indeed, never doubt the Pugsaronious when he’s calling the game one of his mortal lock picks….never ever. I think we all have also learned that
Ponce should be inserted into the rotation….and kept there!

Thought the play of Edman and Ravelo was also darn good and both got hits.

Lowest time of the season: Bases loaded, 0 outs, could not score. What an offense.

I don’t like “what-ifs” or spilled milk but all of those game we gave away because of so little offense… we could be in 1st place. Those games happen and they come back to haunt you.

Despite being two games behind I do have one major concern. We have a west coast trip coming up and, despite the fact that we will be playing some sub .500 teams, my somewhat befuddled memory tells me that west coast teams have been having fun with the likes of the Brewers and Cubs. Course it was the Dodgers and Rockies that bashed the Cubs but still…….

How long can we stay two games back and continue to have an anemic offense? Ahh that is the question huh?

So you like the center fielder with a hole in his bat?

Love him, Minuteman3!! The young man is a legitimate winner. That “hole in his bat” will soon be gone.
