I think it is the right move to send Jordan down. He needs to work on his defense by playing everyday.
Something off with this team. My take is Marmol is not doing this team any favors with his lineup construction. Point is case why put Gorman in the third slot? He is 22 having a good year after a so so 2022. I don’t think he is cut out for batting third. I think 5th suits him better. Contreras needs to calm down. I know he is trying to impress but bring it down a notch. Arenado looks out of sorts. The pitching will be better but not great. I think Flaherty and Montgomery will be the best of the lot.
Can’t wait until Gorman fails BB? Average BAbip is .300 which was Gorman’s last year actually .301. I don’t understand why you keep expecting Gorman to be bad.
Contreras needs to bring his demeanor down a notch. There is a point between being as stoic as Goldy and as intense as Contreras. That happy medium is called Arenado.
There is something off with this team. Can’t point what it is. But the manager should look into it instead of looking angry all the time.
What kind of rotation change? High quality pitching is expensive and risky. They are not keen on spending tons of money and totally averse to risk. So far they haven’t been smart or lucky if you want throw in luck there with their pitching choices. They are getting what they paid for in Matz. There was no reason to extend Mikolas. Montgomery is ok but not a top pitcher but I would keep him as a #3. Flaherty is good but not sure if can become an ace and I think he is getting out town as soon as he can. Waino is old and should have retired. Don’t know what we have in Woodford but he is not a top of the rotation pitcher. Liberatore deserves a chance.
Well there might be some other open spots if Matz and Mikolas don’t improve. There is always the mystery injury to get them to figure things out.
