De out tries to pull an outside pitch and rolls over on it. Do hitting coaches even work with guys to go to the opposite field anymore?
We’ve been wanting a starter to give us more than 5 innings. Waino not only does but holds the other team to 1 run in 7 innings. Unfortunately, the bats, bullpen and manager gave him no help tonight. Bad loss or at least would be but with how this team is playing a poor loss.
Edman beats out the single despite a great play by Castro, then Goldy grounds into a double play to erase it.
How this team is, feast or famish. Making a bad pitcher look like Cy Young tonight.
The fact that Edman is HAVING to fill in in the outfield tells us a lot about development in the system. Yikes.
Agree gscottar, starting pitching is a mess right now. All those stud young arms we kept hearing about aren’t getting it done.Maybe I will try to be playing softball more nights if this is what is going to happen. Granted our softball team looked like the the bad news bears last night.
I really think I owe John Mabry an apology. Damn this team struggles at the plate and has for years.
Do we have an outfielder that can hit his weight? What a depressing group that is and the fact that they are on the big league roster doesn’t say much for what’s in the organization.
And in Starting pitching that is good for 5 innings and well can you say .500 team?
I missed more games this year because of my own ball, play three nights a week. Add in, people were/are looking for reasons to get out of the house right now.
As for the team, no need to watch, you know they will win a few and then loss that many and end up right about .500. Front office needs to do something to make folks excited about tuning in again. Watching 3 regulars hit below or right at .200 is not that.
